Haas Video Studio Tour with Mark Terryberry - Haas Automation, Inc.

On this Factory Spotlight we really aren't even in the main factory itself. Mark takes us on an interesting trip through our video studio that's located in one of our warehouses in Camarillo, CA.
Mark talks about some of the topics he's working on for upcoming videos and he even stops along the way to check out some of the memorabilia from past TOD episodes.

8:50 Don't drink the coolant ! The toolbox looks great. As far as I know, in the Netherlands, we don't have our own tools or tool boxes. Mostly the company will provide for the tools and storage cabinets. I however do bring my own tools just because then I know for sure these are my tools of which I exactly know what happened to it. I'm a big fan of having your own toolbox and your own tools. But ... when I did this at a company I worked for, my boss told me to let him buy the tools for me. I was like: "No, because then these are not my tools and they will be borrowed by others (when I'm not there) and then I don't know what happened to 'my' tools anymore" 😁

Definitely a sign of the times...back in the day, the want adds would stress machinists must have their own tools and would likely not get hired unless they did.

Our particular Lista cabinets were custom built. They do not have a model number on them, which is the case for most Listas, I am told. The Lista 9-Drawer Cabinet, with butcher-block top, we use most often is 28.5x56.5”, and 35.25” tall without wheels (43.25” Floor to Top of wood top, with wheels). The larger Stainless-top Listas we have in the videos are 28.75 x 56.5”, 46” tall (53.5” Floor to top with wheels). I really like our 9-drawer wood-top Lista roller cabinet. G13 would be good - we teach it from the Haas workbook. I use it a lot to cut soft jaws to hold rd parts

I have 3 brand new Haas simulators 2024. in my school, and all Low on coolant. How to virtualy refill coolant in them? I can not find any option in settings that work with refilling. Best Regards from Croatia Europe. 👍

software upgrades are available after the machine purchase?

Yes. You can reach out to your local dealer and they can work with you on software upgrades. We have customers today who are Beta-Testing Automatic Software Updates on their Haas machines, this is something that the customer will be able to turn on if they choose.
