Absolutely!!! We need more ❤ cannot wait for this.

In my humble opinion habanos should step up its normal production so you can buy whatever cigars you like and not even more overpriced habanos. If i go to a habanos shop i like to choose from all the brands and vitols they do and not just 2 brands etc. my guess 80% of the normal line is not available

In fairness to Habanos, their country is broke. If there’s a market for overpriced cohibas I don’t blame them one bit.

I'd rather see that they realesed a thinner Behike, like the Siglo V

Salut!

A great video as always Laurent. Behike is well outside my price range, as my go to range from £20-£60 per Cuban. But this is a smart move by Habanos. Due to the price increases of recent years, combined with inflation and currency exchange, plus the demand from wealthy Asian and Middle East buyers, they need to reinforce the price premium between Behike, Cohiba and the rest of the standard production lines. Habanos are simply following the same path as luxury goods like spirits, where a regular bottle of scotch whisky can be had for less than £100, but there are also bottles available for tens of thousands - they are statement pieces, not regular consumption. And the same is true for a Behike; you are buying the experience and associated prestige, not the inherent value of the product. As a consequence the existing Behike line may appear, conversely, as better value if there is a new higher more expensive tier in their range, so maybe this move might help shift existing products.

The prices are at tulip absurdity levels, I guess as long as people are willing to pay it will continue.

The BHK 52 is already selling for £400 in my local cigar shop so I can only imagine how much the new cigar will be...
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
i guess aroung GBP 600

They're free to do what they want, but I still wish that we can have access to new releases without them being super expensive. Would love to see more reasonable releases such as the RG Coronas De Londsales or LGC Turquinos !
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
Agreed. Smoking a RG Coronas De Londsales right now...Beautiful after a 6 month rest in the humidor.

I guess there must be demand, and enough people willing to pay 200/300/400 etc… and the margin must be huge, but it would be nice to see more of the day to day cigars, Turquinos was such a great new addition, 50 ring gauge, over 5 inches and even in the UK ‘only’ £30 for a stick…

I totally agree with you.

I would just like to see more H Upmann half coronas being produced. Regular production boxes of all brands are becoming scarce here in Canada and all that’s left in many places are single sticks. Habanos need to be careful as they may just see customers lose patience and start to drift over to new world cigars

many already have, Cuba cant compete with neighboring countries when it comes to production.

Too many shops selling only RyJ Linea de Oro, Cohibas, Trinidads, Montecristo Linea 1935... I would love to see more slender cigars, honestly a bit sad that the market has shifted more towards shorter and thicker cigars. Not sure about the new Behikes, seems like it's impossible to find current Behike vitolas on the market, how are they planning to supply the new ones?
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
The BHK cigars are back on the shelves in Switzerland and France. a lot of them.
@bartolic57 күн бұрын
@habanonews That is interesting, haven't seen one in my local shop for a couple of years. Even heard stories that couple of boxes arrived in the past year but in such shape that they can't even sell them. It does make sense for bigger markets to receive such cigars sooner.

I have a box of BHK 52. I bought another 2 singles since I heard about that for so many years so I went for it. Please, Please, dont bother... you can find at least as good cigars in 1/5 of the price. They are mild, the draw was good (not great, just good), the 52 are mild, a bit fruity with notes of cedar. As a collector, sure, go for it.. as person who would like to enjoy cigars, no. it remind me the Bolivar Belicosos Finos which I'd gladly smoke every day if I could.
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
I totally agree with you. I remember a friend of mine opening a box of Behike 52, 2 years ago in Italy and we only smoked half of our cigars as they were not good at all. It happens unfortunately but at this high price it should be a perfect smoke and an amazing experience.

I would predict Romeo y Julieta to make an appearance for the festival in Havana come February as it’s their 150th anniversary
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
You may be right but it was already there at the gala in 2020 for the launch of the Linea de Oro line. 2025 will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Montecristo. it will be the 160th anniversary of Hoyo de Monterrey. It will also be the 180th Anniversary of Partagas, We know for sure that one night will be dedicated to Cohiba for the new behike cigars 58 and 59. We don't know if a new luxury line will be launched for H.Upmann or Hoyo de Monterrey, the 2 global brands for which a luxury line does not exist yet.

It’s definitely a struggle to find some of the Cuban favorites. When was the last time you saw a Monte Especiales #1!? I’ve seen a few websites selling the Dumas and R&J linea de oro for around 40% off retail price. Habanos needs to wake up and concentrate on their regular production cigars.
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
I totally agree with you. Monte Especiales are wonderful cigars.

No thanks. Smaller ring gauge, lower prices are more appealing to me tbh. More deliciosos less behemoth

This is a release for the super rich, and is classic short term thinking on the part of Habanos. They seem to lose credibility with each passing year. Luckily, there are still gems out there like the Rafael G Lonsdales and the PL Galanes that restore my faith in Cuban cigars.

Curious if the bigger rings gauges have to do with easier obtaining Cubans to America. Doesn’t seem like Europe or Cuba like big ring gauges. Unless they want to emulate Americans. Europe strikes me as a sub 52 ring gauge, Cuba a sub 48 ring gauge culture. Unless I’m way off the mark.
@habanonews14 күн бұрын
Hello Joshua. You are right saying the America likes big rings but I must say that America leading the trends in many ways most young people in Europe and the new smokers prefer big rings. I started smoking Montecristo 4 but many people start smoking 54+ ring cigars and will find it difficult to smoke laguito No.1s…
@refatsalameh981621 күн бұрын
58 is interesting for line expansion, but the comically looking 59 is rather gratuitous and an attempt to follow the new wold cigar sizes trend without aim apart from profit. I am saddened that Habanos is departing from the core defining principles of the Cuban brand, and in the process neglecting the standard line violas and loyal customers! I miss my Epi 2s, Monte 2s and Lusitanias for example. What happened😢

If Habanos continue to raise their prices and make new expensive cigars that not many pepole are willing to buy insited of producing their regular line cigars then I think I'm going to stop buying Cuban cigars.
@habanonews7 күн бұрын
I must say that many people think like you. I hope Habanos will address the situation soon.
