In our childhood days, when Habib Painter Sahib's qwali was being aired on radio , we used to standstill near radio with all attention. Now i have retired but listening Habib sahab's qwali with same emotion.

If anyone has these masterpieces kindly upload .I am from Lucknow and around 30 years back when we were young then Habib sahab, saabri brothers ,Aziz naza were all over Lucknow , intoxicating the air , sometimes with live performances or else they could be heard on loudspeakers throughout the summer nights when most of the people used to sleep on open terraces of their homes .How much can be written about those beautiful musical memories ! This has brought alive the memory of those wonderful days .There were some other singers also .Malika Pukhraj's Abhi to main jawaan hoon .It was sung by her in Lucknow Mahotsav and it became a rage overnight among youth .What to say about those gems !

Habib Painter was from Aligarh in UP and not from Jodhpur. I should know, as I grew up listening to his Qawwalis in intimate gatherings for long. Though not having the benefit of talim in classical music, his forte was a high level of familiarity with Braj along with flawless Urdu diction thanks to Aligarh being the crucible of both.
