I'm surprised I hadn't written anything about this performance yet. I think It was one of the first presentations of Kira Lebdeva I have ever seen and I was probably too mesmerized to be able to write anything. Even now when I find people as accomplished as her I have an impuse to shy away from writing about them, but then again, after all the reprimands I met from people far less accomplished than her regarding my writing and my apreciation of art and the spirit of what moves me in writing this, I was able to settle with authorizing myself in doing things like writing this and having dance classes and studying, and I'm happier now. I'm also thankful in part also to Kira Lebdeva for making no small contribution to moving me in that direction though her generosity in sharing her presentations. I have just watched all of Kremushka's youtube channel in a matter of 3 or 4 days, so Kira's leg movements feel much more human in comparison. I felt Kira played with the image of a statue, that came to life through incense and was telling a story though dancing with smoke. There was a moment that was very hip hoppish, and a I felt very connected to the Drums. I really love when Kira introduces those variations in the intensity of the movement, as it is very didatical into thinking the artistic choices che made when representing the song. Shiva, to be simplistic, had a drum, and I felt in this song he danced with his black hip hop descendents. To teel it more naivelly this presentation seem to represent a very long period of time, of people who went to war and learned from Shiva and built a statue that inspied dancing and the creation of songs, which finaly morphed into the song we hear and Kira's artistic work through it.
