"How do you like them apples?" Is a very old rhetorical question directed jestingly or mockingly at someone who has received surprising information. It supposedly started in WW1, used as a taunt against the enemy. There was a type of mortar used by the Allies against the Germans - because of it's appearance on a stick, soldiers referred to it as a "toffee apple". So when they launched them at the enemy, they'd yell out, "How you like them apples?!"

Cultural difference about how you act around and toward women… :-\
@MSBBOULDER17Ай бұрын
@cripplermaximus Some people laugh when they're uncomfortable. I am also fairly interested in their opinion on women, conscious and unconscious - but as it is, we don't know and it's possibly unfair to answer that question right now when the only knowledge we have is their reactions to a few American movies - most of the movies and TV shows they've reacted to are masculine or general. I would like their reaction to movies like The Post, Hidden Figures, Sylvia, p.s. I love you, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, or Steel Magnolias. I'm going to see if their patreon levels let a person choose one or two of the movies they react to.

I loved this reaction! Just fyi, the phrase "How do you like THEM apples?" (with specific emphasis on the word THEM) is a colloquial phrase often used on the East coast of the United States, to boast or express triumph, especially after proving a point or coming out on top in a situation. Additionally, the phrase is grammatically incorrect, which is intentional. The correct grammar would be "How do you like THOSE apples?" But the fact that it is said with emphasis on the error demonstrates a distain for the upper class. That's just my understanding, but I thought you my like to know. :) Again, thanks for the reaction. I subscribed.

Will Hunting is an INTP-T. One of the 16 MBTI personalities. Sean is an INFP, Chuckie is an ESTP, Prof Lambeau is an ENTJ, and Skylar is an ENFP. If you truly want to understand why people are the way they are then Google and KZbin the 16 MBTI personalities. If you go down a rabbit hole with this, you will understand everything past, present, and future. If you decide to look into this subject, your understanding of everything will be answered.

I did see a KZbin short somewhere that Robin Williams actually went off script at one point. But then again, I'm used to him doing off-script lines and being comedic. The original animated Aladdin had Robin Williams playing the Genie with the character designed around some of Robin Williams' live stage shows. The second animated Aladdin wasn't as funny but the third one was worth it. Not to mention that Gimli's actor was in that one. Though I actually like the live-action Aladdin with Will Smith's Genie since a TON of mishaps and incorrect facts were corrected. Also: there are extras who speak Arabic.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck grew up together in Boston this in a way represented them way they grew up there. The kid in the red jacket in the sandwich welfare who got shotgun in the end is Ben’s brother in real,life Casey Affleck who’s also a well known actor. Matt is also in real life quite the genius, him and Ben both highly intelligent. I heard you mention Canada but it’s Boston and that was a Boston Southie accent not Canadian. South Boston has a very specific and rich culture. Every US High School your class of everyone who graduated together will have a reunion every 10 years so everyone can get together it’s usually organized by volunteers from your class. Usually the same people that organized Prom and Hime coming during school years. So it will be 10, 20 and 30 year reunion. Most common is 10 and 20 not everyone does the 30 year and beyond.
