Just so everyone knows, I did the math (double checked myself so I could be wrong but) and added up how much length of cord you actually need for this project and it comes to almost 2,000 feet (~590 meters) of cord needed. Here's the breakdrown: CORD LENGTH FOR EACH STEP, AS DIRECTED: 1. 8 cords at 18 feet each = 144 foot of cord 2. 2 cords at 10 feet each = 20 foot of cord 3. 60 cords at 14 feet each = 840 foot of cord 4. 6 cords at 18 feet each = 108 foot of cord 5. 8 cords at 18 feet each = 144 foot of cord 6. 76 cords at 5 feet each = 380 foot of cord 7. 16 cords at 18 feet each = 288 foot of cord 8. 6 cords at 18 inches each = 9 foot of cord A total of *1,933 feet* cord is needed! (or 589.18 meters of cord!) If someone else checks my math and notices I got some lengths wrong, please by all means correct me! Have a great day!

I am currently following tutorial and it has been a real joy Dan has done an amazing job of teaching. As I am a beginner. However As I am following her lengths of cord , I have found that the total length of hanging is in general 7ft in length, which is 2 ft and in some cases 3 ft longer than what is to be according to her measurement a 5.5 Ft hanging. So after I shape up the bottom I will have a lot of 2 to 3 ft. Cords left over. That is ok as I can use them for other projects. However giving you the lengths in her tutorial you can use the full length for a longer wedding backdrop or wall hanging. Hope this is helpful !! Thanks to Dan for an amazingly beautiful wall hanging. 🙂

Thanks! I really needed this...and per the reply below I hate its going to waste so much string. Someone on Facebook also made it and said they had to cut a lot also. But it is gorgeous and I intend to make it after I get all the numbers down LOLL

@@stephaniegarland9948 Did you ever come around to making this and adjusting the cord length? I don't want to see so much strings go to waste too. Thanks.

Hello. If I wanted to double the size.of the hanging to be 3m wide would I simply double all the numbers of cords and the length of them all?
