Basit was polite to ayesha's family when he first met them until her mother sold her off to him and lost their self-respect. Basit considers them as gold diggers hence he longer values them and treats them harshly. Ayesha will win his heart eventually. The comedy walima scenes and the earlier built-up tension in his house were so realistic. Great acting by all. This episode was the best esp ending with that brief intimate moment between the couple.

This episode was an apt depication of the issues when two people from totally different backgrounds get married. Feroze and Ushna performed brilliantly. Most of the issues were created by Ushna s younger sister, who only cares about herself. Once again full marks to the writer for such strong characterization and giving us such a deep insight into the characters. Basit came accross as an inconsiderate person though actually its his inability to deal with relationships and his fear of emotions. I feel Basit s mother would be a strong support for Aysha.The worse for Aysha is yet to come when she realizes that Basit has paid her mother such a huge amount of money.

When I write a comment as a critic the comment gets deleted. So i am writing here what I think about the money Basit pays to his mother in law soon after the Nikkah. In Islam the bride groom has to pay mahr to the bride. So this money has to be treated as MAHR. In fact the mahr amount is publicly announced in Muslim marriages. So if a Pakistani serial has a story built around this act, I feel it is a mistake made by the story writer.

I understand Basit is classy & his in laws are bit massy but if he should have atleast pretended to be good with them just for the sake of his wife happiness then the outcome would be something else

Yes, he is snobbish and difficult. But he is not accustomed to all these formalities and rituals. Somehow, Banno was the most understated, classy, and sensible. This even when she also is not used to the upper class lifestyle. Ayesha’s mom, phuppo, and Zoya behaved as expected. Phuppo should not have insisted on Basit eating the gulaab jamun and he should not have reacted so rudely. Then Zoya is trying on make-up and breaks an expensive perfume bottle. Finally, she asks to borrow a dress for valima🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Basit did not look happy that Zoya was wearing it. His mom is also right in saying she can’t search everybody. I was amused when the designer told Zoya the jewelry was too much and to take it off. It was rude, but she designed the dress and would want it to shine.

This ep was wonderful esp loved the perfect and accurate way middle class people were shown in this ep For eg zoya sitting on bano in the taxi instead of going on two taxis and zoya breaking the perfume etc Esp disliked how much big deal zoya wearing aishas dress was,i mean comeon shes her sister!
