Thank you Music Republic for your compilation. Unfortunately, I don't remember half of what you got here due to an Indian Ocean cruise onboard USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69) from 15 April-23 December 1980. Morale Welfare and Recreation tried it's best to provide new music to us while we were on GONZO station, but the supply lines just weren't there

HISTOIRE DE MA VIE ANNEE PAR ANNEE - 1980 - 22 ANS Durant toute l’année 1980, j’ai travaillé chez Mastok à Metz comme Chargé Commercial où il arrivait des fois que Jean Popel et moi- même aidions les 2 monteurs de la boite à faire des installations. Ce fut le cas en avril 1980 où nous montâmes des cloisons de bureau à Reims pendant 2 semaines. Je ne faisais pas de prospection (porte à porte) car trop introverti, mais je me rendais avec Jean chez les clients qui demandaient qu’un commercial passe pour les conseiller, prendre les cotes et faire un devis dans la foulée. Pour ces cas de figure c’était le duo de choc Popel - Mocchetti qui passait à l’action. Le 1er mai, j’achetais pour pas grand-chose la Renault 15 TL orange de Jean Popel qui était équipée de jantes en alliages légers et de pneus 185/70 R 13. C’était ma première voiture et j’avais déjà 22 ans, elle avait 6ans (mise en circulation en 1974). J’habitais pas loin chez mes parents à 500 mètres de chez Mastok, qui me demandèrent de mettre de l’argent de côté pour que je puisse vivre seul en appart pour commencer ainsi je mis 30000 francs de côté jusqu’à avril 1981. A Reims nous allions au resto midi et soir , resto que Mastok payait en prenant soin de ne pas dépasser 75 francs par personne et par repas. Le soir, nous allions en boîte grâce à la caisse noire que Jean et moi-même avions confectionnée en faisant gonfler les fiches au resto, à l’hôtel et dans les stations essence. Nous avions plus 2000 francs dans notre caisse noire. Les 15 jours passés à Reims resteront dans nos mémoires, nous avions fait toutes les boites de Reims (Palladium, Miami Club, Le Retro……) et que de jolies filles convoitées. L’année 1980 fut l’année où déferla une gigantesque vague de chansons anglophones à forte consonence New Have qui prit l’ascendant sur tous les autres genres musicaux. Je me souviens en particulier de Blondie avec son Atomic et son Call Me, de Trust avec et , d’OMD avec son Enola Gay, de Géraldine Hunt avec son Can’t Fake The Feeling et j’en passe (Taxi Girl, The Brothers Johnson, Rod Stewart, The Police, Kate Bush…..). Je sentais en moi un amour grandissant pour Yolande qui était secrétaire de direction chez Mastok. Ce fut le premier amour de ma vie, en attendant d’autres (3) qui suivèrent respectivement en 1982 (Nathalie), en 1983 (Catherine) et enfin 1986 avec Sophie Laronche avec qui je vivais en concubinage jusqu’à juillet 2001. La prochaine rubrique < HISTOIRE DE MA VIE ANNEE PAR ANNEE> sera consacrée à 1981. J’oublis un détail, je me dépucelai en 1980 avec une miss que je connus dans une boite disco à Metz, vaut mieux tard que jamais. Buenas canciones y buen video. Solo un par de detalles: 1.) No todas las canciones son de 1980, algunas son de 1979 y otras de 1981. 2.) Deberías poner fracciones de tiempo iguales, digamos entre 8 y 10 segundos por canción ya que algunas duran solo 4 segundos y otras mas de 10. Como bien dices, no todos fueron éxitos, pusiste varias de tus favoritas pero está bien, lo aclaras en la descripción.
