Fyi the infinity is for you to have custom firmware every time you boot because cfw isn't permanent after psp 2000. If you have older version you may not need it . If infinity bricks your psp just hold home when booting so you go back to ofw iirc.

the same thing happened to me because my psp can't connect to wifi, but i downloaded the official 6.61 update on my pc and through the usb put it in the GAME folder of my psp, and then you can run the update

I think it depends on the prior method used. The safest bet would be to fully uninstall any prior method first before going the PRO-C2 / Infinity 2.0 route.

That's strange, indeed. Unless you've already done some kind of CFW to it, maybe consider updating to system software 6.61 before proceeding. There are bug fixes in it that might be of help. Then you can press forward with the CFW install process from there.

I followed this step by step and it worked in that my system does appear to be hacked, i.e. I can run things that wouldn't if it weren't, but just trying to go to system settings causes my psp to shut down. When I turn it back on everything is still working, so it's not bricked thanfully, but any idea how to fix this so I can actually access my system settings? It's not ideal being locked out of using that at all.
