There were isekai series before, like Visions of Escaflowne and Inyuasha. But .hack//SIGN was the first to use a video game setting.

The movie Tron flopped and no momentum or following was built from it. none of these current trends can be linked or attribued to the Tron movie and no one has said Tron was their motivator. Trapped inside the game is about the only thing the movie is first at but again an entire generation scrapped the concept.

this music starts playing whenever tsukasa is on the verge of waking up. or when his friends would take inadvertant strides to find the key of the twilight by jogging his memory. but it seems to me that tsukasa perhaps prefers never to wake up.
