Honestly i have no idea why so many Rust youtubers do so very little when it comes to setting up traps inside their bases. Even just a basic level of traps in that base would have protected you from him even if he was using a hack to get your codes it would have been meaningless if he couldn't get past the traps to get to the tc

All he would have needed to get in was a keylog of you typing in the four digit code using the electronic door codes. Or conversely using a password cracker program mod would be an even easier get because the Rust door codes are only programmed via a 4 digit number pad virtual equivalency.

This is why I have 4 sets of codes in every base. So if anyone actually knew 1 code, they wouldn't have access tot he whole base (and if they did have access to the whole base, then they're from my team or being given information from my team). From what I know, no such cheat exists on vanilla for obtaining codes, but a poorly made admin plugin on a modded server can certainly give opportunity for such cheats to be developed for servers using that poorly made admin plugin. My take, on vanilla its not possible, but on a modded server with an admin plugin for reading codes can certainly make it possible (but unlikely, as I would like to think cheat developers wont waste their time making cheats for a specific oxide plugin).

Hackers are able to climb up walls without ladders they can also fly. That is how he has gotten in. Also the hacker may have seen one of your old codes in a video and tried it. Hackers can also have the ability to use a "Natural aimbot" where there aim is on point but their cheats can make it look slightly off. In my honest opinion I feel like the hacker was using some sort of freecam and was stream sniping you.

Sebby why did you not ask him to tell you your own codes, because if he was not hacking he could tell you your codes. Apart of me still believes he is hacking, because when you asked him to press 'E' on the door code that you've changed he could've disabled his hacks/cheats, its true he might guess you codes but i don't believe him to have guessed the right code as there could be millions of possible combinations. Do you record your streams? The whole time? My guess is that he had saw you enter a code on stream in the past, or on this wipe. I know some teams use the same codes by default. I’ve also witnessed people just guess a code as well. Not exactly sure though.

There's a hack you can run it's more like a script that will test all codes possible but you need to keep healing or running back over and over again and it may take up to 8h to get the right code.

You can make a program that will go through all combinations possibles and they are 10⁴. Let's say it types a code every 3 sec so it will take approximately 8h45min to try all of them. ( maybe now it's not possible anymore but I'm sure a couple of years ago I remember hearing about it and there's a video somewhere about it and it was a Chinese guy using it)

Surely he was hacking. Maybe he even wrote the hack code himself if that isn't one online but that is the most likely solution. With a 10 number 4 digit PIN code there are 10,000 combinations. And the keypad hurts you for every wrong number. He would at least have an invincibility cheat on while testing.

There is one type of hacks, its called code redeem, u can use it in lot of games but also works in lios and rust, both survival games, there u can get any 4 number codes, from any base, and also u can double any number of supplies u have, like if u have 1k gp by tapeing an screen search, when u open your inventarry, u can just make it double... i never used them but i know some guys who rooted their decices to get them work, and also u can use game guardian, for magic splitting and parameter chaunging, so u would change your hp to even 13k not 100... and also u can change jumping to biger

Ive brute forced code locks many times in rust it’s not that hard. Place sleeping bags north,east,south,west and try all the usual patterns first ... 6969 ... 9696 ... 1122 ... etc etc. I found this is the most effective method of code raiding and I can get ANY code in less than 3h

Me and my friend were sitting in out main base, then suddenly footsteps were heard, we thought it was one of our teammates then we heard him coding at our doors, to our surprise when he went in our shotgun traps shot him so he ran out, went to our furnace base, coded and thew everything inside our tc on the floor.

This happened to a friend of mine, he likes to build high and he has so many clan members at times that goes in and out. He had a random guy that was always killing him and the clan and they couldn’t find out why, he stole choppers and other gear. Then they find out that one of the oldest clan memebers gave him ALL the codes and he build a base UNDER where they slept. They thought they were safe and built a tower with the bed on top, no doors under it. So when the whole clan went to raid or Oil he built his home in that tower. There were floor afte floor of stuff he had. They may have had more flat ground but he built from the top down. And they had no idea
