The grandmaster ninja would be the best tower to infinitely upgrade because of it's high attack speed and low damage. Damage buffs always make a bigger difference with low damage and high attack speed towers.

The purple aura on the Archmage is it’s Shimmer ability. When the upgrade says that it is the ultimate master of magic, it not only means that it attacks faster and does more damage, but it also gains the tier 3 abilities of both of the other wizard monkey paths since it is supposed to be a master of magic. A 5-0-0 is more or less equivalent to a 4-3-3 with overall buffs to damage and attack speed and the like.

The upgrade only affects the solver’s attack speed, and not it’s glues tick speed, so not rlly much of a damage increase.

The purple aura was shimmer because even though you didn’t select the upgrade the arch mage automatically gets the 0-3-3 upgrades essentially making it a 5-3-3
