Just the other day, as Reinhardt, I heard what I thought was a Sombra uncloaking, and I broke away from the incoming fight to Charge in that general direction. What I'd actually heard was my Tracer Blinking, but I did bump into the Sombra, breaking her invis, and she was too shocked to TP away before we killed her. I saw this on replay and thought, "Man, she must either be mad or think I'm cheating." It happens. But maybe like once a season, lol.

I reported 2 cheaters yesterday. A widow was clearly aim botting. And when I checked their profile there account was literally brand new, only character played widow and it was only for 12 minutes. Not even 1 hour registered in quick play. 🤣

I had a similar experience. Always funny how the cheater shoots a fully invisible Sombra nowhere near anybody else and just give themselves away. Wall hacks ate rampant but these mild aim hacks are becoming more common too. Makes for a bad time especially the duos oe more

It happened to me while playing sombra against a hanzo. I'm a sombra main, I was waiting for them to waste sonic arrow to go hunt them out. Dude shot me and killed me while invisible and passing through walls. That first shot I was like, maybe it was a lucky shot, tho no one from my teams was in that spot at all. Second time, I wanted for them to waste the sonic arrow again, went for them and they shot a random arrow to my direction but missed the shot by a little. So yeah, I was like nah, this dude has walls. And every time I fought him he was entirely ready to engage me he knew every time I was going for him. Decided to call them out, and their answer was "I'm just that good". I switched to venture, tank switched to ball and we ended up rolling the dude. After the match I reported them and by the next day got the message that action was taken against the player. So yeah🤷‍♀️

@@Aon_DuineWell, a successful report doesn’t mean they actually cheated, and good Hanzos and Widows or even Ashes will always be ready for a sombra because they have to be because of perma invisibility. Back in OW 1 I used to react to Sombras by just flicking my wrist and I could one shot them just like that. And she couldn’t kill me in time to stop me from one tapping her unless I just missed. It’s much harder now because they gutted Hanzo and gave Sombra that broken virus ability. But still, good snipers will be ready for you.

They wait to do bans in huge waves because if you ban in small numbers it gives the cheat creators time to adjust their program. If you hit them all at once they can't react to changes in cheat detection. Just sucks for the players in the mean time

i had a hanzo on one of my games that was like this, dude peaked silver 2 and had god flicks on me, the most obvious one was at the end of the match where he 180 headshot me (Tracer) after i was standing in front of him for a second shooting him, then dash past him and dashed back, he fully tracked me during the dashes always landing on my head and killed me in less than a second while flicking the whole time, a silver player. Mind you the game before that i also played against him and rolled him wnding up 31-3 while he was 8-12 and the next game he was a hanzo god that can kill phara/echo/tracer like nothing? sure, why not

Something I didn't see mentioned is vs a lucio and a few different dive heros they NEVER check flanks. Never even glance in the general direction of a flank... unless there happens to be someone there at which point they go after them.

Wallhacks are such a dead giveaway because NO cheater can play off having that knowledge well. They either barely even try and are already turning to the person behind the wall, or react *way* faster than they realistically should if they get jumped. Also the way they shot was definitely something like triggerbot, allowing them to hit most of their shots the moment they hover over someone without it looking like an actual aimbot (Just look at their very first shot after swapping to Cassidy, looking at someone through the truck and then shooting the exact moment that their crosshair is over their head, even though the enemy player is so far away)

So many trigger botters, it's actually ridiculous, once you learn to recognize them, they are very easy to spot. Like the guy in the video, it looks human because all the cheat does is click the mouse when you're on target, and when paired with smoothe aim, it means your aim will naturally end up on target, then the bot will naturally click the shot, it all look normal, but it's just too smooth and too accurate, it looks fake in a natural way. I watched a csgo cheat guy who got a hardware cheat in the mouse itself that would only click the mouse, and with someone with a decent aim it looks exactly normal, it's just you're ridiculously good at pressing mouse1. Anyway, funny world we live in. Cheerio!

It's official....I quit this game until this gets fixed. Ive dropped a whole rank. And I get it, I'm not as good as the streamers and whatnot. I peak Diamond/Masters (haven't hit masters since the reset). But damn it I worked hard to get my rank and now I'm legit sitting back in the metal ranks. And yes I blame cheaters. I see them every single night multiple times a night. I've put up with so much shit from OW over the years and the game is basically ruined. Blizzard won't even acknowledge the damn problem. It's been getting worse and worse with every season and now it's unbearable. Feel free to flame, call me a shit player, etc.... I have played this game for a very long time and I know when someone is cheating. I've grinded for years and had a lot of fun but....this is not fun. It's just not.

Samito just did a video where he went back and watched, and it was almost like a soft aimbot as well as they seemed to definitely have walls. The soldier kept looking around corners that you wouldn't look around and then shooting people through trees where you couldn't even see the hero on the screen.

I saw my first obvious cheater on console yesterday. It was quickplay, and the enemy Cassidy was aim-locking and shooting at enemies who were hidden behind walls. Xim-like camera movement too. He was also quite bad and got rolled by our dive comp even though I have almost never played Wrecking Ball for non-stall situations. It was dispiriting, though: I'd thought console was freer from hacks than PC.

honestly at this point the 'ban wave' just seems like a cover up for laziness. blizzard is notoriously lazy when it comes to overwatch, half the newer skins are recolours priced at extortinate numbers for a ripped skin, the whole PVE ordeal and advertising BP themes to be so much better than they actually are. the explanation for the ban wave makes as much sense as just regularly banning players. at the end of the day, no matter how often you ban them or how you go about doing it, they will figure out a loophole and the best thing they could do is pay more attention to mass reports of one player instead of hyperfocusing on one report because someone said naughty word in chat. but thats too much effort evidently

If you suspect someone what you can do is go to the replay look through their perspective. when they die, if their crosshairs continue to lighty track targets in front of their crosshairs even though they are in the eliminated screen then they are using a bot. I had a junker queen last night my friend called out for cheating. So I suspected it and it took a while to find. at first it just seems like they make a lot of lucky plays quite often, their aim would do a perfect flick to someone always ending on the target and then lightly glides and follows the target. The players name was "godninja9000" of all names to use lol. For these players they need to "feel" superior, it's all ego and narcissism. It isn't about fair competition and fun. It's pretty discouraging how I view people because there is a healthy population of cheaters in every game now. But Then after slowing down the video this is when I noticed how the screen subtly tracked targets even after they die. Also soldiers with no recoil is a dead giveaway, see lots of those.

The cheaters are getting so bad that if you even pop off slightly as cass or widow in mid to high plat lobbies then the entire enemy team starts to call you a cheater, doesnt matter if your overall accuracy is like 25%, i keep my profile open just cause ive been actually hitting the aim trainer and getting better with my aim and keeping my profile open hopefully shows them that i just play alot😂(1200hours and i started in overwatch 2 season 2)😅

I have insane game sense and can predict where people will go, so I can never assume that sort of thing is cheating. I've been accused of it before for thet reason and trust me, not cheating. I only wish my aim was as good as my game sense. I predict where they are and then get my ass kicked anyway. I remember head shooting an invisible Sombra flanking and they flipped out completely calling me a cheater. It was completely luck. I just assumed they're back there somewhere.

I think we got cheater but i'm so confused they are very mad about cheater in our teammates. i tried replay him, he's soldier 76 but never misses them... i heard they about he had aimbots. i don't think Soldier 76 is a cheater.. huh that's why i'm very confused.
