They keep this number so when the vote is over they can check that their vote has been counted. The results will be published in local news papers and in the libraries and on the internet. Each set of ballots is counted by two separate sets of people and then the totals compared, so it's very hard to rig the result without there being a discrepancy between the totals. The original paper ballots are retained for some time after the election, so if vote rigging or a miscount is suspected, it's easy to do a recount. With your electronic system, there are no safeguards whatsoever. I don't see how it can even be legal, the whole thing looks wide open to fraud.

The last uk vote have very big question marks against it . They promote postal voting because that's easier to fiddle. There were more than 200,000 discrepancies . As investigative filmmakers we also investigated Georgia's Diebold paperless touchscreen voting machines (DRE machines) and found them, in some ways, to be even less secure and open to fraud. And of course there are no paper ballots used there for any kind of recount. As concerning as our hack of the Diebold optical scanning system was, at least with that system there were paper ballots in case of a recount (and also so we could show the people voting on camera to prove what the real vote count should have been). Paper ballots matter.

Having done accounting my whole life, there is always supposed to be a human/manual/paper file/count/trail AND the computer report. You always have s physical copy of the data that has been entered. The Obama Administration through all these safeguards in the swamp so that he & his kind could commit crimes, & when caught, they erased their devices &/or claimed they crashed. Over the decades I have re-entered entire years of data lost because of crashes. I had all the documents to do so though, & a printout of the lost computer stored data. The paper files were kept meticulously. You never removed a file without leaving an 8X10 space marker filled out with what was taken & who has it. We had to be this perfect because we were continuously audited by THE GOVERNMENT - the FAA. So don’t let the government tell us it doesn’t know how to do this standard accountability office procedure. What slimy crooks they are!

@@mickmccrohon Then why are only the left trying to stop recounts when electronic votes were confirmed to flip, Trump lost 10,000 votes in a glitch, poll workers on video are filling out ballots at tables, a House Republican lost his seat until it was found out another glitch happened and he actually won, and prevented poll watchers from doing their job by ignoring challenges to votes and physically blocked them from seeing the voting process? 🤔

@@antmaster360 "it's not a partisan problem it's a democracy problem." . Google US 2000 Presidential Election. It's not that the Republicans are crooked or that the Democrats are! It is a systemic failure. Take one company that makes election machines, Diebold, they can make money machines (ATM's) that handle billions of dollars every year safely with the balance always being correct but they can't make a simple machine that adds one number to the total at a time? There are criminals involved on both sides.
