I think honestly - more onus needs to fall on the playerbase, being taught how to accurately assess if someone is actually cheating - and making it a little more arduous to submit reports. Right now, the reporting mechanism just doesn't work - and I think is more often than not, responsible for false positive shadow bans of legit players that just get spam reported on. That - or they need to make "Prime" matchmaking similar to how CS operates. I.e if your account has Paid products on it, like actually games attached to it - you get access to better tier MM.

@ only casuals have a hard time telling when someone is a cheat or not (if the game has killcam). You can easily notice when someone is tracking you through a wall, or see the crosshair placement and when he's about to shoot it magically pins to the enemy head, or how he's always pre-aming or even pre-shooting on the right direction at the right time... On games w/o killcam is way harder tho

I miss the good days of dmz. No hacking , joining up with people completing missions. Killing a team taking their gear and no one gets mad. Met 2 of my gaming buddy's on DMZ. its really just a ridiculous amount of playtime, there was a low chance that i got live pinged multiple times when i died. but when my teammate died i was sure he was cheating. also the guy that killed me streams himself cheating as well. to answer your question, most of the big giveaways is when the other parts of their gameplay are really bad (movement, crosshair placement) but then they have godlike aim and tracking and preaiming things they should have no information on
