Hacking my Way through the Galaxy - Breachway Episode 10

Welcome to my playthrough of Breachway, the tactical space exploration roguelike deckbuilding game. This game combines elements from classic roguelikes like FTL and Slay the Spire into a new unique gaming experience.
Choose from a multitude of ship chassis and then kit your selection out with a variety of weapon systems, defensive upgrades, and internal modules. Find unique synergies between your options as each choice comes with an associated set of cards for your deck, with additional cards and upgrades unlocked at your discretion after each victorious encounter - will you dodge dangerous regions, or face them head-on in the hopes of acquiring powerful new options for the journey ahead?.
Gather crew to operate your equipment, managing their morale and taking advantage of their unique skills and the benefits they provide your outfit, as well as their relationships with the factions you might encounter. But be warned, crew members have their own personalities and allegiances to remain mindful of.
Seek out upgrades and new crew members as you traverse the galaxy - unexpected equipment combinations will provide powerful card synergies, each with their own risks and rewards.

The suppressor is super good on this ship. Your command abilities are where this shines. Waiting to get the right rail gun shots are also key.

E warfare and railgun build ... I like. My sense of aesthetics for combat spaceships require the addition of missiles.

Missiles are meeh. Takes a turn, can get easily destroyed. Better to min max your existing modules imo. My best build so far was this ship with 2 rail guns ( the cards you can get for the other Railgun are just absolutely crazy good) and 2 hacking modules. I farmed the complete 2nd sector. Cause i was at a point with basically infinite money. I didn't need any more cards, so every fight i got about 70 credits. Bought Fuel like crazy.

you havent been thinking of your ord surg properly, use ord surge whenever you use ord, its just temp free ord during that turn, and disappears after turn, so u want to spend it when u use the card

I think the Dynamo add-on doesn't properly work. In the next fight after you bought it, Denial costs 3p/1m (32:11), Stall is 3p/2m (32:59), which is the normal price for those cards, but Firewall only costs 1p (33:48), so Dynamo correctly works for this card.

To be honest, need to go harder on hacks, more hacks more battery charges gained (can use 2+ on 1 card plus the officer)

I just finished a run with the overheat ship. The only one I haven’t beat the final boss with yet is the rail gun ship. I should lean more into hacking but fundamentally the railgun cards are expensive to play and their specials don’t proc often like when item destroyed or when equipment is already damaged makes it difficult to use. Like more damage is nice but when equipment is already disabled or damaged so it makes it difficult in the early fight.

@@1337billybob I found the railgun ship quite doable. However, just relying on hacks wasn't cutting it for me, I got myself a shield generator to go along with the hacks. Also, getting the _good_ railgun cards is very important. The one Bara elected not to take early on is among the best (8 precision damage, increase repair time by 1). I had 2 of those in my railgun build and it really helped (be _picky_ about the cards you take! The resource and cooldown cards are rarely worth it and only dilute the deck!). What helped was that I got a Coilgun in the second sector map and doubled up on the precision damage. The Coilgun has a card that gets better the more railgun cards you have on cooldown, I got that card twice, too (farming fights as much as possible). I think my record was 28 damage with one of those.

I built my railgun ship around the ion cannon: 2 combined arms and 1 ion spear. Along with hacking, the 2nd boss had no opportunity to get a shot off

​@@1337billybobwhat? It's the best ship by far. You can completely disable every enemy on your first round. 2 rail guns and 2 hacking modules. No shields needed. Try it. It's crazy good

2 Railguns and 2 hacking Modules. The Subsystem for the Rail Guns which i dont want to spoil but is OP af. The 2nd Boss didnt even fire 1 shot or had shields 1 time lol
