Hacking out after the storm, horses tackle fallen trees & obstacles!

Hacking out on our horses after storm Ashley was a challenge for us horseriders! Our ride was cut short as the bridlepath was blocked with fallen trees, the horses hooves were sinking in the wet ground, paths overtaken by water and streams, it seemed there was no way to ride around the obstacles that faced us. We ended up turning around and coming back on the road which is quite a narrow country lane, and it was a little busier than usual with traffic coming from both sides. Arthur did give us a scare, having a little sharp spook and slipped a a bit on the road, don't know why but he knew he was heading home maybe!
