Thanks for the info. Good tip about the ground reference. In the past I did forget to ground my KNX project and it took my hours to figure out why my data didn't make any sense lol.

@@JohnB-2021 Lets say i logged tons of can messages from my bmw e92 335i Then what i have the logs but how can i use them My aim is to use a junkyard 335i automatic transmission in a bmw e36 swap so now i have these messages how can i use them with the gearbox in my swapped car to make it function?

@@FirstLast-tx3yj You would need a CAN player but that is only as a test to check you get no errors. You can't drive a car with it.

@@JohnB-2021 but i find many can bus hackers that use such parts for swaps I just want the gearbox to function normally without going to limp mode when it is outside the car that is all

@@FirstLast-tx3yj You need your whole car modified and programmed to suit. I would not know where to start. I would consider other options like getting a different car.

So 18 70 -> 1169 rpm, which seems reasonable when the engine has just started and is still running at a higher idle.

Hi Koffi, Yes I have, if you divide by 2 again after the above calculation it is closer to the 730 rpm at idle. Peugeot must use another formular. I did see a video on a Honda, they have 6 digits and divide by 500 lol. Thanks for your help

would be easier to pull the map off the car open it in winols trial version the hex may make a bit more sense , i like the idea great video
