actually it's the same process but sometimes the High Sierra.app installer will be downloaded as an online installer which size is under 300mb. Hey, Jeff. Top notch tutorial!! Really excellent. I spent many days long ago on my MSI Wind turning it into a hackintosh. I did this modern day exercise with a GTX 1070 card in under six hours!! Congratulations! The thing that threw me was your example of OS X10.12.4. I only had access to a 10.12.6 installer. (I know that often times, the versions cause trouble. Still no problems.

All i did for that was to install OS X on a HD and have it all working, then remove that HD and plugin another one and install windows, then plug back the first one and set my system to boot from the first. The boot loader should detect the other drive and ask you at every boot what you want: Windows or OS X. You do need some precautions, tons of tutorials about it on tonymacx86.com

About 5:11 the BIOS screen arrangement on each computer is difference so you have to say like "Please scroll to the [whatever menu you want to go to]" and when you say "press delete key to enter BIOS screen" the key are drifference on some computer too so you have to say "Press the key to enter the BIOS screen"

Just install a second SSD or HDD and install Windows.. boot the WINDOWS USb installer from youre UEFI (often F8 cap while boot) . DONT USE A PARTITION ON THE MAC OS DRIVE! Use a extra drive!

I just posted this a few comments up, but figured I would paste it here for you as well. "I just used this as a base for a new build and ran into issues with the new revised version of that motherboard (ver1.1 running version f20 of BIOS) . They added Kaby Lake support and made it a bit awkward to use now. I managed to wrangle it, but I'm still sorting out the audio. I thought about rolling the motherboard back, but they stipulated on the gigabyte site that the newer revision won't allow it/work. So I just pushed through the problems. So far though, if you are using this motherboard, at least in my hardware config... In BIOS I needed to disable the serial port as well. And I used Clover Configurator 2 to add "KernalPM" in the Kernel and Kexts section. That will get you through installation. Prior to this it promptly crashed while booting into the installer. Additionally, the nvidia web drivers couldn't load seemingly due to the motherboard no longer having NVram, or at the very least wasn't accessible using this install method. Adding the EmuVaribleUefi driver will allow those to load properly. That is as far as I've gotten though. VoodooHDA did not work immediately on the revised board. So that is where I am at. Going to bail on VoodooHDA and use AppleHDA anyway. Other than audio though, it seems to work fine with those slight edits."

I tried this once with Tonymacx86 installers and older hardware The installation went fine but the Nvidia drivers didn't work sadly A word of WARNING though, when I signed in with iMessage it locked my AppleID since the serial number of the hackintosh wasn't valid.

Daniel Charluck Garrelts do you get an error allocating ... pages? i had that but had check an msi flag and uncheck nv_disable to make it go away. most mother boards with builtin graphics probably have issues when you also have the nvidia card. crossing fingers.

Hi Jeff. I found your video article very enlightening. I'm in the middle on deciding on getting an 2017 27" iMAC or a MacBook Pro for personal use. My other option was to build an Hackintosh which will give me the raw power for Adobe Premiere and Lightroom. This tutorial worked amazing for me until the very last reboot. My 1 flaw is I am running off of the mobo ethernet, the wireless card I bought is not compatible (tplink) and I have not had the chance to buy a new one. After the last reboot my ethernet port does not recognize the ethernet cable. I tried to inject the kexts with kextsbeast but got stuck in an infinite loop of booting through verbose and then restarting before the apple logo appears. Any Suggestions??

Does Final Cut Pro use Nvidia gpu? I can't remember which video on KZbin said that the reason it works fast on Macbook Pros is because its uses Intel's Quick Sync feature on the igpu. Just wondering how fast it works using the nvidia gpu vs the igpu. I have a Haswell E on X99 and would like to know if there's a difference between igpu and nvidia gpu on Final Cut Pro. How can i download the Sierra Installer image from Appstore if the system i use to setup is already running the latest version? Seems to be just impossible like getting the an El Capitan Installer if you run into the USB stack problems.

Jeff, when I get everything good to go on the Mac and changed BIOS. Once MacOS starts (on pc) with verbose on in Clove it just gives me a blank screen. Could you help?

first of all. thank you for such a wonderful video. i was very confused before. but now i know what to do for my vanilla setup :D.. can you help me out with one thing though? i bought focusrite clarett 2pre which is connected via thunderbolt. i have the exact same setup as you do except for the gpu(i have none) and the ssd (mine is samsung 850 evo). will i be able to use my sound card? i need to use logic x. and secondly do i need a gpu or will i be able to use internal gpu? you wise advice will be very much appreciated. I cannot install clover on my Hdd. It fails again & again. Whenever I select Install clover in ESP, it fails. what should I do? Please help
