Army of Two and 40th Day were my favorites of this short lived series. Devil's Cartel killed it.

@@officaldoylefoodreviews7515 Funny, I thought 40th day was the one with a meh story. Devil´s Cartel had a good story, but the co-op sequences were meh (we lose the back to back) but EA really didn´t have the nuts to push the franchise further, they were too focused on sports games

Honestly, I kinda wished Philip Clyde would've returned for the final boss in TDC, because he could've survived his fall and went into hiding in 40th Day. Then in TDC, he tries to work with the Cartel to find Rios and Salem for revenge in the first game. Wasted opportunity for EA to do that.

Everyone always wanted to play as Salem when me and my friends would play, and you know what? By the end of Army of Two, I was a Rios guy. I played all three, and I'm only sad there isn't a fourth one. There was and still is so much potential on the table.

Man I knew the gameplay for these games was solid but I had forgotten the story but holy cow. This is some of the worst military slop writing that is all over the place, they tackle military industrial complex and the issues behind mercenaries but like terrorists hijacking an aircraft carrier and its treated as a foot note? Its just so oddly all over the place, the 40th day was the same way with some high strung things in it but with just a non sensical main story/antagonist. Like are Salem and Rios buddies or do they actually hate each other? This is not like Kane and Lynch and most of the in game dialogue shows them as buddies but some moments in this game and the 40th days writing its like they always wanted to make Salem/Rios to hate each other but never did it properly. I was wondering why devils cartel was written the way it was but I see now the entire franchise just had poopy writers in general. The series needs a full reboot.
