Hey Talking Sasquach. Get an Armature Radio Licence! You'll learn a lot more about radio training to get a licence than anywhere else (other than going to university). The training is free and it'll open a whole new world of hacking about with tech you never knew existed. Including making your own perfectly tuned antenna that you can hook up to your Hack RF.....

i'm NOT AT ALL saying that the hackrf is redundant (because it can be used for a TON of stuff as you've previously demonstrated in your videos), but how does the functionality you've demonstrated here with looking glass and audio differ from using something like a cheap rtl-sdr with free software like sdr# or another foss app? are there any reasonable strengths to the hackrf implementation?
@TalkingSasquach8 ай бұрын
Size is a big factor.
@joshhardin6668 ай бұрын
@@TalkingSasquachI don't mean to be pedantic or anything, but an rtl-sdr dongle is about the size of a usb flash drive, I can screw a rubber duck antenna (or telescoping antenna if i want something variable), and it can easily plug into the bottom of the phone i'm realistically carrying in my pocket anyway. And if i wanted to make it barely bigger than the phone itself, i could stick it all together with a nice 3d printed enclosure with a couple hours in fusion and a little tpu for about $3. - again, not knocking the hack rf any, it looks like a fantastic device, I'm just trying to compare the feature set to see if there was something i was missing when it comes to the sdr reception capabilities.

How do you read the lines from the waterfall? How is it data? What is it saying ? So many questions 😮
@вечная_мерзлота5 ай бұрын
it's easy to tell if u know how voice looks vs data. data is more uniform stable packs. voice is allover . but it can also be voice over digital and u still see digital data.

@@Lando6969 Each waterfall line represents "noise" on that frequency. A strong signal is Red. When the lines become a wide bar you will see that the bar will change shape in patterns, that means voices. It takes a bit, but you learn quick.

If you do not know, when setting the LNA and VGA, you want to make sure your saturation is around 75 to 85. Now, it will jump all over the place, but you want that to be the number that mostly shows up. This will lower the amount of interference you are receiving.

The guide by Cyrill Künzi uses a HackRF to sniff for the password and then writes the NFC to the toothbrush. I only have a flipper and I was able to capture the password but now I’m stuck on the write function. Looks like I’ll have to look into getting a HackRF now haha
