Scooby Doo 2 is a really fun movie. I didn’t like the first one as a kid because it was so weird and out there. I enjoy that one as an adult ironically now. However, they absolutely nailed the casting in that movie, and that’s one of the reasons Scooby Doo 2 works so well. It’s the cast from the first movie but in a traditional Scooby Doo adventure. The monster designs are taken straight from the cartoons, and I thought the character arcs were better too. BTW I thought Velma was hotter than Daphne before this, but this movie definitely reaffirmed that for me. I thought there were some really fun jokes, and it had a pretty decent score and soundtrack like the fanfare version of the theme song and a great use of Bon Jovi in the climax.
