You know what song we had playing! Big thanks to my brother Davie and his employee Gabe. We rented a 26 foot Uhaul, had my brothers Silverado 2500HD haul the tractor, and I had or Silverado 1500 and 6x10 enclosed trailer. We were up over 24hrs, had a few emergencies on the road, and We've got us a Convoy! We even squeezed in some fun! Exhausting week!

It does! Still missing a few things, then again I'm not (do we really need it all?) Tools I have with the exception of my main electrical stuff. I have the basics but getting into some challenging electrical projects too. Always something and I hope the inner "Keith" comes out!

You are located almost next door to us, in rural Arkansas terms. You will love it here!

You got that right! I'm glad they sell ethanol free gas out here locally and now I just need to find a cheap Ag diesel source. I have already been using the tractor a bit. It's raining to day so indoor projects. Thanks!

Hello from Texas! I’m enjoying watching your move and settling in . Hubby and I are considering retiring up there. Texas is too expensive for us to purchase acreage anymore. Want to retire and be in the country. Good luck to you all!

Good luck!! There are some things to consider With Arkansas too. Taxes are strange for one thing. Texas is a huge though! I have family in Texas near San Antonio. Do some research on Arkansas (I'll be posting more on the good and the bad). It is a good place to retire!

You are very fortunate to have your brother and his helper that’s what’s holding me back from selling and moving. So I stay here , but still need help. Y’all are very fortunate indeed. Looks like a lot of progress! Nice to see people happy with their move. One foot in front of the other- y’all have done a lot!

Sorry to hear that, maybe you might be supprised who would help you. My brother offered out of the blue. If you moved close to me I'd help unload at the least. I'm not a fan of road trips though! I was going to make a video on "finding your Keith" and probably still will. It's a long story but my folks have a friend named Keith. He is younger than Them and like another son (and brother to me) He helps them out all the time and they help in different ways with him (great stories, history, lost knowledge, and mentorship). Keith helped me a lot on this move too! I never once asked him. I'm at that point where I'd like to be a "Kieth" for someone and also find my "Kieth" as time is moving fast. Thanks again for your response!

The green snake is what we call a grass snake, non poisonous. There's also the Ring Neck Snake, a small blackish snake that has a ring around it's neck that is non poisonous. I have caught and handled both of them. There's a local guy, who lives up around Lead Hill, who has a KZbin channel, Papa Pepper. He knows ALL about snakes and spiders and stuff. Some of his videos give me the willies but I've learned a lot. If you want a deep dive in to what to watch out for around here, he's a good place to start.

I have watched his one video the "so you want to move the Ozarks" one. Lots of creepy crawly's for sure! I don't think I will ever get that comfortable with them like he does. I am putting up more game cameras. So far just turkeys and a hawk. We are moving our goats and chickens soon and trying to build them a nice secure area. Thanks again!

@@HomesteadReliance If you want to deter the Hawks, learn to make the sound of a crow, or buy a crow call. This close to the park, the Hawks are a real problem. I discovered they don't like crows and bought a call, then taught myself to make the sound. I haven't lost a single bird in over a year. (My neighbors probably think I'm nuts though, hahaha)

If you see some huge black snake leave it be. I forget what they're called but they eat other snakes. Saw some when we were in Black Oak, AR
