Old people are the treasure of every small town. Their wrinkles speak of laughter, warm smiles and affection. Memories are sculpted within their curves, carved in their dimples and diced into moments. Moments, so pure and innocent still engrained between the tired walls of their hearts. They carry them like childhood stones in their pockets, each rock holds an aching past. Time has passed and pulled them with it for they still are the soft souls proving to the new generations that every struggle in our pasts shape us into the people we are today. Their wisdom has travelled through decades just to be dismissed as old when they are so much more than their ages. Today, they are our writers, authors and storytellers, portraying pieces of our town’s history scripted in their past. We visited some old locals to get a glimpse of their lives and experiences in our village: Hadchit. In this video, our locals share with us their deepest emotions designing their pure, joyful and melancholic memories that’ll remain a whisper of love and care that will forever hum…

My name is Joyce and I am a 16 years old living in Hadchit. My life is pretty normal in my town, there’s not much happening, but I love it. I love the simplicity of it. We live slowly and fully.
I wanted to take you with me at this story writing adventure in my village, my heaven, where i show you how i live. And therefore this enchanting portrait of my village will be in view for the whole world to see.
