Seeing Nyx, a being even Zeus was afraid of, frozen before she seemingly even had time to react and hearing Hades clearly *afraid* really sells how powerfull Chronos is. Even more so when you consider this likely isn't even his full power.

Love that we see Zagreus frozen in a moment where he was clearly about to fight, most likely to protect the ones he loves. Than, Meg, Achilles, Nyx, his parents and newborn sister. Only to be stopped at that exact moment, feeling who knows what for eternity, or until melione saves him. Also love hades showing his emotions and love for those in his house.

His design is a mixture between the Egyptian Gods, Chthonic Gods and Olympian Gods. Majority of his design is Egyptian while his body akin of Chthonic while his regale personality of Olympus arrogance.

Chronos is a lot smaller than I imagined. In Greek mythology he ate all of his children, save Zeus, and they later got out of him as adults. I don’t imagine the Chronos in Hades II to have 5 adult gods within his stomach.

I find it hilarious that Time himself seeks out what are, essentially a trio of clairvoyant sisters whose prophecies can and have been defied on a few occasions! I mean come on, Dude, you are literally Time what do they have that you could possibly need?

The last time he was defeated it was because somebody followed their prophecies. So I don’t think he wants anything from them, he’s scared of them and wants to destroy them before they weave his defeat into fate once more.

Hola, disculpa que responda en español pero me parece un tema muy interesante, por favor usa el traductor Bien Chronos es el tiempo mismo pero las Moiras son las tejedoras del destino y si bien ambos conceptos están relacionados también son independientes entre si lo cuál me lleva a la teoría de que lo que quiere Chronos es o bien prevenir que profetisen su derrota una vez más o deseas ese poder para algo mayor, puede que el objetivo de Chronos sea el de regresar en el tiempo antes de su caída mi razón para creer ésto es que parece estar usando la casa de Hades para hacer esto pero eso es sólo especulación, también como dije antes solo está impidió que las Moiras se entrometan demasiado en sus planes todavía no sabemos mucho sobre cómo demonios se recuperó para empezar y que está tramando pero abra que esperar al juego completo para saber más, Gracias por leer 🤗

You know, come to think of it, it really makes sense, the titan blood is used to reveal other aspects of weapons, these aspects come from different points in time, beyond the greek myth itself. Chronos has been using Zag to be restored the whole time.

I don't know, i feel it is too easy. Hades is very prudent person, if he would know if titan blood was so dangerous, I mean he let charont and shop assistant sell it. Maybe it can contribute but like I read in another video, satyrs in last level were part of sacrifice. And I think zagreus blood that was left after every his cut can have contributed

​@thehermit8723 the game designers were aware and mixed Kronos and Chronos on purpose to take advantage of their names sounding so similar and the mix-up being so easy. It's like how Chaos is more like Phanes than Chaos so they took advantage of the mythological inspiration with Phanes but still kept the more widely known name Chaos

@@thehermit8723 From what I have read the idea that Chronos and Cronus are the same entity has existed for quite a while and for example Cicero has argued that they are the same. The game designers probably didn't simply make such a giant mistake considering how many small details they include. The simplest explanation is just that they choose to have them be the same entity because it fit their vision best.

Titan Blood to awaken the weapon true aspect of strength. At the same time reunited the blood droplets as one granting the Titanic strength to the Infernal Arms but weaken the bonds that ensnared the fallen Titans.

Lowkey would love to see some kind of Greek mythology based story about the children of Kronos after being freed from their father’s stomach. Dealing with the trauma of having their own father devour them, their relationship with their mother who didn’t help them and only saved Zeus, the envy they feel towards Zeus who grew up free while they spent their formative years trapped.

They pulled this exact plot in the show, Class of the Titans, where Cronus had taken over the Underworld from his son Hades, except the kids show was even grosser with Cronus flirting with Persephone, his own granddaughter.

Not how I imagine Titans. I imagined them to be very bulky and more elemental or etherial (eg. Uranus to be misty, Oceanus to be moving water, Cronos to be shifting sand with a sicke). Granted this is the first Titan I saw. I hope others are better.

I don't think we'll get much deviation. This game has a style and it's not going to change. There are elements here I like, the reference to the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold for example, but at the same time it is surprisingly uninspired. Looks more like the Angel of Time than the Titan of Time.

In this case I think it works. It's understandable to be afraid of a massive human elemental, but it's scarier to see a massive figure like Hades to be afraid of skinny, strange Chronos. It really sells that he's much more dangerous than he appears.

@@jordanloux3883 Everyone has its opinion, but from what I've seen portraits are a downgrade for me (key word: me). I underetand what your point is, but in case of Chronos I have very hard time imagining how he could eat someone like Hades, Poseidon and Zeus (and many others). I love he has darker skin like it's made out of stone (somewhat similar like Athena, but I wish she had was more gray-pink like the colour of the brain) and I see he looks somewhat Egyptian which is an interesting choice since Greek Pantheon was influenced by Egpytian Pantheon. However, the wings are unnecessary (I don't remember any Titan or God having wings), light is shinning around him like he is Apolon for some reason, but I assume that's to make a contrast with his darker skin. And why does he have Roman numerals? It bothers me more then it should. When I said he would be better as more ethereal, I ment like some Gods from pervious games. Zeus portrait was clearly human, but he looks like clouds comming forth, Poseidon seemed "wavy" especially with his hair, Chaos was... chaotic where you clearly see his face, but more you look at him he is more chaotic and hold Earth with two fingers showing just how powerfull he is. I can go on, but it seems that they toned that aspect down with Gods and with Chronos left the other way. That said, his voice is perfect and whoever desorted his voice (eg. I am will not eat you) is genius.

@@aleksapetrovic6519 His design has roman and egyptian elements to show that he has both elements which predate ancient greece and those which postdate it. I like that he's small and strange. We already fought a bulky bearded figure like how Chronos is typically depicted in the first game. Moreover, Chronos here is explicitly a Titan, not a Primordial like Chaos (who is the very first, at that), of which Hecate and Selene are also depicted as quite humanlike much like the Olympians. Frankly, of the three Chronos is the *most* inhuman due to his black-grey skin, glowing eyes, and the eldritch sound of his voice. In his boss fight he creates a vortex that tries to suck up Melinoe, and he uses the same magic earlier in the game to trap her in a past version of Asphodel. I think that's likely how he "ate" his children here.

i heard they made him look egyptian because egyptian myths and gods were older than ancient greece’s ? so chronos’s religion would “predate” ancient greece the same way. all things in this game are subject to change, including portraits - it’s possible chronos’s current portrait is a stand in or will get replaced in time for the final game. no need to stress !! :)
