exodia means you win no matter the health of your opponnent, against a druid stacking armor all game long this can fail aswell.

If that is your definition of exodia, then there are no exodia in Hearthstone. Each can fail with some specific cards played by the opponent the turn before, like Counterspell, Mind Breaker, Loatheb etc, event if the opponent barely has life at all.

A simple Google search will find that Exodia is a card in Yu-Gi-Oh, that says that if you have 4 other specific cards, you win the game. So by that definition, only Uther of the Ebonblade counts as exodia, as it's the only alternative win condition in the game right now. But you see people calling things like Quest Mage exodia, so we can say that OTK combos that aren't dependant on anything except time and you having the cards (because it's limited and the only way around it is an exploit with Nozdormu). This combo depends on you having at least 41 beforehand, and your opponent having 40 or less health, and that's not always reliable. It's a really cool OTK combo deck, but by definition, it isn't exodia. If you get countered, you get countered, it doesn't affect the definition of exodia.

I played this deck. It's fun, but if you can get seriously boned if your taunts are all at the bottom of your deck, or Hadranox, and your opponent is able to kill you before the combo.

If he was lower, he would play his applebraum too, but in the first game he was being pressured by warlock seals and couldn't play his applebraum

Mass dispel does not help for the full combo, since Taunts get resurrected not by how they dies but by having taunt on the card and Hadronox dies to naturalize in its own turn. Mind control can help to remove two abominations from their side, but that is not enough to block the combo for full 40 dmg (Umbra+Deathspeaker+Witching hour). What can help is Hex or Polymorph since it creates a beast that can affect Witching hour.

Why not play malfurion you don't want to get the 1/5 taunts but the armour gain is huge and you can still choose the spiders anyways

If you play malfurion before the combo, you risk getting a 1/5 or 1/2 instead of Hadronox from witching hour. Usually, to solve this you would just play witching hour first, but in this deck Malfurion would be pointless, because at the time you play witching hour, you win the game.
