I simply cannot tell if Haechan backtracked because he felt bad Jisung was embarrassed by the truth or if he was feeling guilty because his joke was causing Jisung distress. Jeno isn't the type to joke that easily so maybe its true but at the same time "did Jisung kiss us while drunk" was a pretty leading question and it would be extra funny if Jeno said he kissed his foot which makes it seem like a set up. Either way I do think Jisung is a clingy drunk and that's so cute :'). Also the way Daengal looks at Jisung with love and curiosity and he looks at her all nervous.... so adorable! I'd love to see them bond!

This. I think it could honestly be both at the same time, where he could have exaggerated Jisung’s clinginess to the point that even Jeno (who had no context of the conversation leading up to the call) hung up because he didn’t want to be a part of a joke that could irritate Jisung. He probably also picked up the fact that Jisung was the one to originally hang up, and he looked really flustered the whole time. Haechan seemed to pick up that Jisung was seriously panicked a little late since he tried to normalize it to make Jisung feel less upset (when he tried to kiss chenle, and then he embarrassed laugh cuz his attempt failed 😭😭). In the end he realized he just needed to end the whole thing because Jisung got seriously hurt, instead of try to backtrack more.
