The issue i have with butterfly is that you focus your entire run around it and what you get in return is essentially equivalent to one decent boon from chaos on most weapons..

I think that's underselling it. It's more like a free ×4/×5 pressure points because it boosts the damage of literally anything with no RNG attached, while it still stacks with PP.

I vastly prefer Hermes’ lambent plume. It makes it easy to get Rush Delivery and you get dodge chance to boot.

@@Noasphere Getting through Tartarus without taking damage (excluding the bossfight) will get you a long way and is pretty manageable. It does favour ranged weapons, of course.

Very impressive. I have a dozen Perfect Clears, including 3 in a row twice with all different weapons while darkness farming, but I have never done it with EM4. Thanks for the great content. I need to try a Than keepsake run soon

Huh. I'm usually picking chiron bow when doing a butterfly run, but this seems good too. I might try this one day, only problem is my leveled rail aspect is eris, not hestia, so it might take me a hot minute to get there in terms of titan blood.

This makes me think: on my steam deck I have bound "release press" on the attack button (X) to right trigger press so I can fire and reload in one button press for Hestia. Is that cheating?

I've just started watching some Hades videos on KZbin after avoiding them for the longest time. I didn't want to spoil anything before I had beaten the game. Now, I've only beaten Hades about a dozen times and I have so much more to do. I had set the game down to play Zelda: TotK but after seeing the 64 Heat stuff and dipping into some of the comments and having all the terminology go over my head im l'm itching to get back into Hades. How much should I continue to try to unlock on my own before I start looking for guides and tips from the community?

Honestly half the fun is figuring things out on your own, see what feels good, etc. Once I figured out my style/ fave weapons/etc. it really helped to look at what others were doing, especially learning more about boons & hammers less intuitive stuff, and advice on builds

Hestia just does a lot of damage if you reload between each shot, that's all really. Obviously the Than keepsake helped eventually but not a lot early on.

High Confidence, family favourite, and Shadow Presence are doing a lot, bringing it up to ~295 damage if my math is right. Idk how he got the extra 13 damage to reach 307 though

Here's how I'd change butterfly to make it feel more worthwhile - if you get a streak of cleared Chambers, the bonus increases slightly for each, so by the time you're on say 10 straight clears it's up to a max of say 5% a chamber. Make it so that if you're hit you lose the streak, but you don't lose the accumulated %

This is the same guy that is against using mamas flowers lol when with a little finagling you can get a free 4 poms on your lynchpin attack or special depending on build it's a value engine and is not a win more in my opinion especially if you go out of your way for encounters . Ive done the math comparisons and if you work arround the randombess and use boon purges its bonkers
