Guan Yu was my 2nd ever clear and I got the massive + quick spin hammers making me almost immortal until Hades. I proceeded to cower behind the 2 pillars as much as I could and win through attrition. And yes, bigger spin = more damage from the simple fact that bigger spin = more hits. Especially when you're cowering behind a giant pillar.

This did look very safe. The right hammers make all the difference. Exploding launcher + charged skewer is basically an auto-win hammer combo as well, my easiest 32 heat clears

I have never managed to master the spear. Tried playing with Achilles following your videos yet only managed to clear only once. Just unlocked Hades & Guan Yu. This video should help.

Hi Dan, had a question - if you have Underworld Customs on, why don’t you always take the Epic boon when you have to take one that you don’t want? I feel like grabbing a common boon is wasting the extra gold you would get since you are selling it anyway. Idk just thinking out loud

Just really really depends on the situation. Often times the right Common boon is still better than the wrong Epic boon, even if I have to sell eventually.

No, I’m pretty sure perfect clear is disabled for guan yu and cursed slash

Yes. As long as you finish with full health (regardless of DD's), you're eligible. I think my first couple were with healing from Bouldy

I've used Guan yu 3-4 times so far , i really dig the movesets it has but man it doesn't seem to have enough dps to beat hades, same issue with chaos aspect on shield. i reach hades with a decent time of 17 -18 mins but the fight takes forever 💀and i'll die in phase 2

Max out your relationships with everyone. I believe you need to give them ambrosia instead of nectar at the end of the chain of hearts. Don't think it actually improves the functionality of the keepsakes at all though, just adds that cute picture and says "you share a Something Bond" in the description. Only the characters with summons (Meg, Than, Dusa, Sisyphus, Skelly and Achilles) will actually reward you for max relationship, in a gameplay sense.
