It may not be the newest or most preferred jet any more, but it's still a legend and holds it's worthy place amongst one of the best planes of in its class and its time! 1:01

Were these phased out?? Or they keep serving on?? For the E variant is perfectly capable of upgrading to today's standards.

Probably not. It's truly a legend and holds a place in our hearts but probably has a radar signature like a cruise ship. Stealth is required these days.

they're still serving with the hellenic airforce and will keep serving for a couple more years till they get replaced with the F-35. Currently we operate upgraded F4E phantoms to the AUP Peace Icarus 2000 standard, which basically means they have a better radar (an apg65), better avionics and of course the ability to sling aim120b amraam, targeting pod and all paveway (I,II,III) family series guided bombs.
