Great speeches, this is what democracy looks like. "There are no wrong questions, just wrong answers!" Love it. You presented no fake staged shows, no selfstaging & no personal cults as it's common in regimes, but true democratic facts & law obiding goals, great chairmen. 👏🏾No one staging himself like memhir Beyene is doing, which is a typical political instrument of regimes. You are a great hope for Eritrea's futur - a regime change and two smart democratic transitioning leaders. But please don't give out to much inside info in the public ear, in order not to become an easy target for the evil ones. Other than that, keep up the great job, ambesatat!🦁✊🏾👏🏾

What is now Eritrea was long the contested frontier region of the Abyssinian Empire. Eritreans fought first against the Ottomans and later, the Egyptians and Italians. Those long periods outside the control of the Ethiopian Empire(s) created a distinct identity despite their ethnic and historical ties to some ethnic groups in modern Ethiopia.
