I learned quite a bit in this episode as I've never been much of a Mustang fan. Personally I've always considered the first generation fastbacks to be the best looking of the bunch over the years. I just watched the 1960's flick "Grand Prix" once again a few weeks ago. There were a number of cars featured in the sidelines of the movie that were awesome to see. Of course one of those happened a black & gold GT350 H driven by James Garner's character. Good stuff.

Kind of ashamed that the Cobra hasn't been driven at all for all those years. I remember my friend's brother had a 1992 Foxbody GT in red with the Cobra wheels during high school, it was like a dream car of mine. I bought a teal '93 Cobra brand new, and it's still in the garage. With 38K miles it's obviously not a wrapper car, and it has the common bolt-on performance parts of the day making it a day 2 car. So what is it worth? Doesn't matter, it's a really fun car that gets more attention each time I drive it, and it never gets boring to look at, so it will be around for the foreseeable future.

You are incorrect about the competition license requirement for the 1993 Cobra R. No such requirement for THAT car. All 107 were immediately snapped up by collectors and almost none saw a racetrack. Ford fixed that for the 95 Cobra R which was the SN95 version. Ford required a racing license for the 95 Cobra R version. Three hundred made all in Wimbledon White, all manual cars.

@@er1115 the Fox Body is definitely a cult following. As a cult member I'll try to explain. First the look...the car screams 1980s/early 90s...so unique , especially for a mustang. Although I do admit there are similarities at quick glance to say the escort. Especially from the back. However there is no mistaking how menacing they can look. The literal bolt on options are cheap and endless to make the car a little faster or a lot faster depending on preference. They sound amazing with aftermarket cat back. They come in 4 distinct body styles that each have their own interesting aspects....and for drag racing it may be the best platform in history.

A $90,000 fox body.. I would have never thought in a million years that one day any fox body Mustang, would be worth that much, even in such pristine condition, low miles and the fact that it is an SVT. Well.. that is just awesome. To think that this guy bought that thing new in the ear.y 90’s (not with the intention on driving/enjoying it), brought it home, parked it in an enclosure where it would sit and hopefully gain in value. It seems like such a bizarre thing to do.. until nearly 30 years later.

I don't even understand it... so, you buy a car that was $18,500 in 1993* and let's go with it being worth $90,000 today. Had they instead bought a used ~1990 Fox body in 1993 for about $6,500 and put the rest in the S&P500, their "investment" would be worth over $100k today AND they would have been able to actually drive and enjoy the car. *can that be right? Yea 500 miles in 29 years ... Thats 17 miles per year and 1 mile per month .. what a WASTE. Those are not the original tires unless the car was on a lift with the tires hanging all the time or the tires were pulled off while sitting. A car will sit for a month and get a flat spot on the tire, but not all flat spots come out. And there is no way those tires lasted 29 years and not stiffen up.

I don’t understand the point of cars that don’t get driven. Why not collect art or something that doesn’t take up so much space? If it just sits there, it’s not a car.

That 93 probably drove out of the parking lot and right onto a trailer... Probably the most mileage it put on in a day in 99.97% of its lifetime...

500 miles is NOT a brand new car 🤣 Only driven 500 miles in 29 yrs (17 miles per year or 1 mile per day) i would be worried about the internals of that engine.

I call BS on the brand new thingie. The door pocket is loose and the seats have a fair bit of wrinkles on them. I’m surprised the leather hasn’t flaked off, like unused shoes that were kept for a long time.

I believe the Crown Vic is a Mercury Marauder and the 1995 Mustang is a Cobra R which was limited to 250 copies. Not sure about the Dodge.
