Thanks for the video. Was very intresting to see how e-bike handles high elevation and this answered it very well. I don't have an e-bike myself yet but i've been considering to go test drive Haibike Sduro Trekking 4.0

They are great! I have road up some of the steepest mountains here in California with no issue. Test ride one that is perfect for your size & you will love it. ~ Thank you for your feedback !

I purchased the sduro trekking 4.0 last week. mainly bought it to commute to work 22 mile round trip and to have a longer ride on a weekend. absolutely loving it so far highly recommend it.

Thankf for this video. How comfortable do you find riding this full eMTB on city streets? Considering for daily commute to work and weekend up/downhills. Or any better recommendations considering this video is more than an year old. TIA!

Steep hill test starts at 3:50. I have added larger tubeless tires since this review, and find that my ride is even more stable. I also never get a flat.

wow that bike weight 30kg O.o so if the battery run out you must bike with a 30kg on a hill?! Q.Q so a battery bike only useful when you have battery for the whole run?

yes! Don't run out of battery. This Bike is very heavy

Hi, i am about to buy this one(think its the same). Do you have any clue how many kg it can handle? Like 90kg?:)
@adamkuperstein62897 жыл бұрын
Your battery will largely depend on what setting you are in, and the slope of the hills you will be riding up. I road up and down some of the biggest mountains here in California, and i still had a little battery left. I recommend putting bigger tires on the bike and going tubeless. I have done both since this review. 90kg is a lot, but it would be somewhere near that if you road in the economy setting with no slope .
@tomkrist7 жыл бұрын
okay,90 was if i took with me alot of equipment, i am around 80kg and i would think maybe 3-4 kg extra will be added. I asked for the total weight it could handle in the shop but he couldnt really answer. I am planning to use this bike to get around and take photo or video, it is some hills here but not very long, like the longest is around 8-9 km but i am not planning to go there very often:) So lets say around 84 kilo total , that should not be a problem?:) Thanks for answering, and i really liked the video to see what i actually are going to buy.Thanks for the video:)

I pack my drone and a few other things. I don't ride with a lot of equipment, but if i did i might consider better suspension. It's hard to answer your question regarding distance because there is a lot of factors including what battery size you will receive with your bike. Haibike has several different models, and you will find models that best suit your needs. My model is not necessarily designed for long distance.

I think all Haibikes, even the european versions have speed limiters but I wonder if theres a way to hack it, squeeze all the juice out of the engine=) of course that way you can damage it but just to have the option would be great. Im between Haibike and Momas, which offers the illegal mod up to 40km/h, costs about 300 euros and on top of that you have speedchips that give even more, hahaaa now thats a ride;D
@adamkuperstein62894 жыл бұрын
There is a way to hack the bike. However, I'm not sure how. I brought the bike to the shop, but they wouldn't help me for obvious reasons. I'm now looking at a second bike, I can build myself with no governor. ~ Thank you for checking out my video!
@MrTaff224 жыл бұрын
@@adamkuperstein6289 actually just found the answer. theres a thing called speedbox, one of many chiptuning firms. Its with usb so you can configure it on your pc, suitable for bosch and yamaha engines. remove the speed limiter and go as fast as 75km/h. costs about 140 euros and can do it yourself. now im curious to how the engine will sound, probably not gonna be quiet and have to look out for the police=P
