Haida Gwaii First Nations school renovation proposal to get closer look

The possibility of an innovative partnership to improve school and local infrastructure in the Haida Gwaii community of Masset will get a closer look thanks to a $150,000 B.C. government investment announced by Premier Christy Clark.
Premier Clark met with Chief Ken Rea of the Old Massett Village Council and community leaders at Chief Matthews Elementary school in Old Massett. Together, they announced a community-based partnership that will conduct a feasibility study to weigh whether provincial and federal investment in community schools could serve students and the community.
