This temple is made by Haidakhan Baba Ji who is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva to whom this temple is dedicated. Haidakhan's birth has always been a mystery. He left his mortal remains in 1984, at an early age.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Haidakhan Temple is a Hindu temple located in Chilianuala of Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand at a distance of about 4 km from the famous hill station of Ranikhet. It was constructed by Shri Haidakhan Maharaj who is said to be the manifestation (avatar) of Lord Shiva.
The devotion and the holy location of this beautiful temple attract large number of devotees and tourists from across the globe. One can get a stunning view of the giant Himalayan peaks including Pancha Chooli, Nanda Devi and Trishul Parvat from the vicinity of this temple. All the people visiting this place are embraced equally and is an ideal place for rejuvenating and refreshing you from the regular hustling and bustling of the hectic city life.
HOW TO REACH RANIKHET -
By Flight : Nearest Airport is Pant Nagar, at a distance of 110 km.
By Train : Kathgodam (86 km.) is the nearest Railway Station.
By Road : Ranikhet is well connected via roads. Roads run through Haldwani, Bhowali, and Khairna during all seasons. Ranikhet has direct bus links with Nainital (56 km), Kathgodam (86 kms), Ramnagar (96 km), and Delhi (372 kms).
