Vishal has adapted the Mehndi Hassan masterpiece Gulo me rang perfectly. Arijit singh does full justice to it. Quite similar to how he adapted Begum Akhtar's humri atariya in dedh ishkiya....a real musical genius.

Do jahan grew on me after I listened to it a few times. But for me shardha's lines are a spoiler. I like what she is singing and would have preferred a separate song. Her lines within do jahan kind of interrupts the flow. But it's my opinion.

Album deeper than anyone's understanding! Starts off with vishal dadlani's 'aao na' having vibrant lyrics,followed by extremely powerful and brilliant 'bismil' sung by an absolute maestro sukhwinder singh. Then,arijit singh enters in style with a slow paced 'khul kabhi toh' that will grow on you slowly. Arijit singh proceeds with a very innovative and lovely tribute to Mehdi Hassan's 'gulon mein rang bhare'. 'ek aur bismil' is another version of bismil that certainly is less influential. 'Jhelum' is a very well written and relatable song. then comes 'so jao' which is rather missable as compared to 'aao na'. Suresh Wadkar wins us all over with his soulful voice in 'do jahaan'. Shraddha kapoor does a decent job in supporting him. To me,it is the best song of the album. Then, Rekha Bhardwaj ends the album with 'aaj ke naam' and this poem can surely make you cry 8/10 one of best albums of long long times. Huge credit to Gulzar and Vishal for this excellent collaboration and for choosing such beautiful singers
