Hamza Akram Qawwal & Brothers presenting a rendition of ‘Haiderium’ written by the great Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. Hamza is the grandson of the revered Munshi Raziuddin Qawwal. This ensemble represents the 26th generation of the seven-century old Qawwal Bachon Ka Gharana of Delhi which was founded by Saamat bin Ibrahim, the first qawwal of the sub-continent and principal student of mystic Amir Khusrau. Hamza has studied with the renowned Ustad Naseeruddin Saami, as well as with his uncle, Farid Ayaz Qawwal.
