what a great vocal performance out of these modules. It's like eaves-dropping on a conversation.

Thank goodness for a new Annannie modular video, I've been on the selling sites looking for a 90hp travel case, or a skiff, or a rack which I can build into a case I have, and the power supply and psu with the rack frightens me a little, even without the Mutable Instruments Rings and Disting or whatever the first modules I would get. So at least I can enjoy the delightful sounds of Annannie without the stress of buying more stuff.

Ahhhhhh!@! I have taken the modular jump after about two years of staring down into the abyss of beauty. Ive got my ornament and crime, elements will arrive monday. Seems i really need a sequencer? Suggestions? Can i use the OC for that.

Hello Annie! I noticed that you chose not to use "must have modules" like VCA or EG in your system (except in the M32). Is there a reason for this?
@annannie
@annannie 7 жыл бұрын
To be honest I have no idea why I decided to build a system without the essentials :) part of the reason I love the modular synth is its possibilities to break structure and ideas of a conventional form. I find it to be the most personal of instruments.

I have a Veils (VCA) and a Peaks as my only true EG in my rack, and they rarely get used. I make mostly ambient and slow, evolving, generative music and while it can be handy to have, you can usually achieve the same results in other ways. Modular really lets you do things your own way and if you pick the right modules you don't need so many utilities and "essentials." Plus, MI stuff has a lot built right in which helps.
