It's literally been less than a year, and the fact that new, good players have come into the team have given Karasuno the ability to get into national's. That stuff is normal. They've even lost to Aoba Jousai before. Major Spoilers from manga (don't go if you don't want to know the outcome of end of their school years): . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . If you haven't read the manga and have only watched the anime, I guess you can call it plot armor but they definitely don't have it with how their next game goes. In the future as well, they've never won Nationals once. Just gotten close to it. So no, no plot armor. Another reason why I love this series so much. They're not afraid to have the team lose and not win at all.

Yeah I kinda agree, I can’t stand ep. 15 at all so I always skip that and read its part in the manga lol. Part 2 especially was affected by the pandemic so the animation in the first half was really shaky, the second half (starting from ep. 20) got better though.

I like both the old and new art style and as you said, this match was shown superbly in the manga, which the new art style follows now. The problem here isn’t art style, it’s animation. There was a staffing change and one of the animators was fired. Part 2 was released during the pandemic (the animation in part 1 is still pretty good and consistent, part 2 is the problematic one).
