As someone in the throws of an opiate addiction I relate all to well to this song. waking up already hating myself because I know the day entails of chasing safety in insanity. To abuse again just to feel normal and not sick, meanwhile judgement, scrutiny and general confusion from lack of understanding has already engulfed friends and family so alot of my time is spent hidden away from them... I know this part of me has to die sooner or later and its a tug of war but I have this band and its music to help me thru it all. if and when I come out the other side, clean and sober again, I want to see another show and thank you guys personally. For everything.

I love this band. They are one of my biggest inspirations as a drummer vocalist. I feel like I've reached my limits and then I'm inspired to go further with everything this band does. Big ups to the chill vibes in this one. "I wanna cut it out so I can see it." This tension is building. I feel it.

While maintaining their sporadic sound, Hail the Sun has found a way to give Donny’s narrative depth. The lyrics cut straight to the heart, and the music compliments-instead of competes with- the vocals. I love it

Ive probably listened to this 30 times in 24 hrs. Brilliant song in every way. Im an old circa survive fan and I feel the same way about hail the sun now as I did when I first heard circa in 05. This song sold me on them a few days ago and I cant stop listening. I guess bc its so relatable. Also since You guys are into this type of music, check out the albums "Crest" by Visitors and "Dead wait" by Gloe. Those bands have the same vocalist and he is up there with Anthony green and Donovan in terms of vocal genius and captivating lyrics/music. I know some of you would fall in love with those records and they can speak to you like they do to me. Both bands broke up but full albums are on YT and bandcamp. Anyway glad I found HTS, looking forward to diving into their discography. Anyone have a favorite song that I should check out?
