Everyone has to realise that the purpose of the scene is to show transformation so a close-up of Jonghyun in this situation would feel awkward, uncomfortable and out of place. Also, though it hurts Shawols to see Jonghyun excluded, it would also hurt other Shawols to see him included in something he couldn't physically participate in. There's no winning here. Even Shawols are divided so TvN went with the most simple and logical decision - to show the 4 that are transforming back. The situation is emotional on both sides so the only thing to do is go with the logical choice.
