For those that dont have a concrete floor for the 9730, i`d recommend cutting four 2" sections from a pool noodle to stand it on. If you put round conduit box lids (1mm galv steel) on the top of each noodle section it will prevent the feet digging in over time due to the weight and vibration. This mod stopped all the vibration from coupling into the upstairs floor cavity which could be heard as a loud hum in the room below :) I`ve had mine for years and tbh the rubbery smell doesnt change much.

This video is about air pumps, not scrubbers. You cannot put air pumps into sumps. The pump needs to stay dry, outside the sump. But our scrubbers, like the HOG, SURF, DROP and RAIN models, can go into the sump, yes.

Does ph gh and kh levels affect how the scrubber will work? I'm asking because I'm wanting to use one in a sump for a soft water tank... also can you use it with the miracle mud system ?

Rico Suave Scrubbers are not really affected by anything in aquariums, and can work with mud, etc.
