Soo this is my theory about who this songs are about. Just to make it clear I love Niall since 2013 soo 7 years now. And I really like Hailee and her music. But I really think this is about Niall. And this is why soo I think they maybe took a "break" and he was with someone else (we can hear that in "Arms of a Stranger" by Niall and also "Wrong Direction") and that obviously hurt Hailee and Niall really regreted what he did and you can really see that in "Still" by Niall he says... "Find it hard to say I'm sorry But I'll make it up to you somehow" and "If honesty means telling you the truth Well, I'm still in love with you" and that is just heartbreaking. This is all just a theory I don't know the truth that is just what I think that happend. And I am 100% sure "Heartbreak Weather" (Nialls album) is about Hailee because he said he started it after just going through a break up in oct-2018 (thats when Hailee and him broke up) and seeing how Niall's and Hailee's albums conect just let's me think "Half Written Story" is about Niall too.

People keep wanting to take sides which I feel like is so redundant. I don’t think it’s about who was right or Hailee taking revenge, I think it is about closure and having her side being told. If what we are assuming is correct and these songs are about her most recent relationship with Niall, it would drive anyone up the wall having your ex tell a one-sided version of their relationship. It creates a false narrative for her from just hearing his perspective. She was/is still clearly hurting and then having songs come out about her painting him in a more favourable, sympathetic light simply just wasn’t her experience. She was hurt and it really affected her. Her being an artist, she needed her own form of release to tell her side and move on. I’m actually a fan of both their music so I am definitely not hating on Niall. They both went through an intense and heartbreaking relationship and they both needed outlets to move on and past it. How they approached their song writing is THEIR truth which they are both entitled to tell.

Exactly! I hate how people think they have to take sides and want to figure out who the "bad person" in this relationship was. It's just not up to us to decide anything and ofc there is never just the "wrong person" and the "right person" in a relationship. Both people can be heartbroken and sad and there is always so much more we just don't know and music is just their way of venting their feelings and moving on.

Maybe if certain people didn’t call their album HEARTBREAK and gave no evidence there was any genuine hurt and played victim, more that they are crying over someone leaving them over something THEY themselves did, we wouldn’t be discussing it. Niall even shaded how people wrote heartbreak songs in several interviews saying “I could have wrote every song in the way everyone does it but I didn’t, I wrote them from other people’s perspectives” basically shading Hailee’s pain. It’s messed up, it was annoying that he kept saying that. His fans are in deep denial.

it's about Niall. Hailee was busy doing Dickinson in the late quarter of 2018. That was the time when she was down and pissed off about her relationship. She doesnt need to literally tell the world that it was NIALL that she was talking about in her 5 tracks. All she need is a smart listener who can read between the lines. And good thing, a big number of fans got what she meant and to whom she sang these songs to. Another proof is that if you go to Hailee's IG and back track, you will still see photos of her and Cameron Moller (her 1st Ex). She did not delete nor archived those. And for me it means that Hailee and Cameron parted ways as friends. And I would also think that it wasnt about cheating because if it was, then Hailee would have deleted those photos. So since Cameron is out of the picture, it means NIALL is the cheater.

He said in an interview it's about a recent breakup, so yeah, it's not particular about Hailee but about their relationship, how he felt after breakup etc. Also, there are some songs which are not at all about Hailee, like Black & White which is about him finding a person & feeling all the things for that person, like he knew this person is only one & this is the person I wanna end up with. It's not about anyone, it's about the feeling & about that person he would find in the future someday & many more songs are not about her. Maybe 4-5 songs are about their relationship but not about her. But yes, Hailee's EP is definitely about Niall, all the songs.
