I really appreciate the way you always put the victim's name in the title rather than the killer. too often do we tend to "romanticize" these cases and develop such deep fascination for the killers, completely disregarding the real human life that was lost. it's such a small detail but as someone who lost someone at the hand of another- I really do appreciate it.

i agree!! before finding hailey i only watched eleanor neale but after seeing the way hailey goes about her cases its clear that theres a much more respectful tone to it. of course eleanor is great at educating but i noticed she tends to brush over the victims past and focus more on the brutality committed by the perp and she also goes very in depth abt the perp’s child hoods, leaving more room for viewers to sympathize w the killers rather then seeing them for the monsters they are

as a law student i just want to say, it shouldn't be "weird" for someone to come into a police station with a lawyer. you should never, *ever* talk to police without a lawyer. people have ideas that "if you're innocent you don't need a lawyer" but a lawyer is there to protect and advocate for you, no matter whether you're accused of something or not. i'm not going to defend this guy or anything but showing up with a lawyer is not at all a bad or suspicious thing

I find it interesting how quickly her family was willing too accept that she had committed suicide without a note, knowing how much she adored her very young daughter, & how she never expressed any thoughts of doing such a thing prior too that incident. I think her family thought so lowly of Craig that upon being informed that it was likely that she took her own life by drowning, a very difficult way too even do that, they were like, "sound's about right, I'm surprised she didn't do it sooner."

I don't think the fact that he brought in a lawyer should be a factor. My parents have always told me not to talk to the police without a lawyer and one of my irrational fears is that I'll bring in a lawyer and this will automatically make them suspect I've done something when it shouldn't. I should be allowed to want to protect myself from the law. The justice system is far from perfect. Also you should especially bring in a lawyer if your spouse is killed. They will always look at the romantic partner first, with good reason ofc but that can be an automatic point against you and if you're innocent (or guilty I guess) you don't want to give them anything they might be able to twist/use against you.

Just want to add that my in-laws have several lawyers in their family, and one of my dad's BFFs was a lawyer, and I've always been told that if I'm ever questioned by police, to *always* ask to have an attorney present! What I've been told is that, at the very least, it can't hurt to have a lawyer present if you're telling the truth...and it can really *really* help if the police are crooked, have tunnel vision or for whatever reason think you're a suspect.

same as well for me. When my grandma passed, 3 days later I dreamed of her where she was in our garden, right by our house's gate. she was with a man, whose face was just blurry and wearing 90's clothes, holding up an umbrella for the 2 of them. She waved goodbye to me and they headed out of the gate. It felt so real. Also, my grandpa passed away in the 90's so I believe it was him...

Correction if you are being questioned by the police always ask for counsel. Don't tell any version of any story. There are so many innocent people in jail who thought they'd just walk out of that interrogation room because they were telling the truth. Asking for a lawyer looks suspect to many but I'd rather have my arse covered than have my words twisted.

Ummm, not too be that guy, but she isn't remaining true to her original content at all. Sure she cover's similar subject matters, but her original content was compromised of her telling a story while she got made up. Which even as a straight man I thought was kind of entertaining & cool, but luckily for Haley her personality is capable of keeping my subscription & watch time even with that deviation from the original content that attracted me to her channel I'm the first place.

Different time's. Also she was apparently very mature for her age, & at that time of the initial dating he seemed like he was working towards success being that he was 20 with a vehicle studying at a respectable school. Also, if I'm not mistaken it's pretty common in the Jewish culture for there too be such an age gap between spouses.

@@dustinspeicher3390 It's definitely not common at all in Jewish culture for there to be an age gap like that...especially when it comes to a young teenager being with a 20yo man! The vast majority of Jews would see that kind of age gap as creepy and potentially grooming.

Nope. ALWAYS get a lawyer. No matter what, if you are even remotely CLOSE to a crime, get a lawyer. NEVER speak with the police without a lawyer. It doesn't matter if it makes you "look" guilty, all that matters are the facts. And you can mistakenly implicate or perjure yourself without your lawyer. The biggest myth about getting a lawyer is "if you're innocent, why do you need a lawyer?" Because I'll tell you what, if you accidentally implicate yourself because you thought you'd never become a suspect because you're innocent, then law enforcement will waste valuable time trying to further tie you into the crime rather than using it looking for the actual guilty party. Or hell, even if you ARE guilty, you can make it so, so much worse for yourself. So keep silent & get a lawyer.
