I really appreciate the way you always put the victim's name in the title rather than the killer. too often do we tend to "romanticize" these cases and develop such deep fascination for the killers, completely disregarding the real human life that was lost. it's such a small detail but as someone who lost someone at the hand of another- I really do appreciate it.

as a law student i just want to say, it shouldn't be "weird" for someone to come into a police station with a lawyer. you should never, *ever* talk to police without a lawyer. people have ideas that "if you're innocent you don't need a lawyer" but a lawyer is there to protect and advocate for you, no matter whether you're accused of something or not. i'm not going to defend this guy or anything but showing up with a lawyer is not at all a bad or suspicious thing

I don't think the fact that he brought in a lawyer should be a factor. My parents have always told me not to talk to the police without a lawyer and one of my irrational fears is that I'll bring in a lawyer and this will automatically make them suspect I've done something when it shouldn't. I should be allowed to want to protect myself from the law. The justice system is far from perfect. Also you should especially bring in a lawyer if your spouse is killed. They will always look at the romantic partner first, with good reason ofc but that can be an automatic point against you and if you're innocent (or guilty I guess) you don't want to give them anything they might be able to twist/use against you.

Thank you for the video, Hailey! You have a great vibe about you as a person, and the effort you place into researching these cases is commendable.

He probably tried drugging her and didn’t use enough to knock her out completely or it didn’t work fast enough for him so he attacked her and strangled her. Either that or he shared the beer with her and his ‘lawyer friend’ had something to do with it and he was going to give him a cut of the life insurance…

If he was legit dating Summer, he wouldn't have to go to the club twice a week and spend that kinda money. He was getting hustled , just like he was hustling others.

Can I just say I am so excited for you Hailey and how quickly your channel has grown? You are clearly an amazing and intelligent person and I am so proud to be a subscriber. I also really appreciate that you are making it about the victims and how they are the ones who should be celebrated instead of these sickos with their "fan clubs". A close friend of mine was murdered and we did our best to make sure she was remembered for her kindness and compassion rather than her fate. Thank you for doing that with other people and their stories. A lot of us love that about you. Xo 💜

Why would her mom want her 16 year old daughter to be with a 20 year old in college?
@dustinspeicher33902 жыл бұрын
Different time's. Also she was apparently very mature for her age, & at that time of the initial dating he seemed like he was working towards success being that he was 20 with a vehicle studying at a respectable school. Also, if I'm not mistaken it's pretty common in the Jewish culture for there too be such an age gap between spouses.
@maneckineckbeard17492 жыл бұрын
@@dustinspeicher3390 It's definitely not common at all in Jewish culture for there to be an age gap like that...especially when it comes to a young teenager being with a 20yo man! The vast majority of Jews would see that kind of age gap as creepy and potentially grooming.

Nope. ALWAYS get a lawyer. No matter what, if you are even remotely CLOSE to a crime, get a lawyer. NEVER speak with the police without a lawyer. It doesn't matter if it makes you "look" guilty, all that matters are the facts. And you can mistakenly implicate or perjure yourself without your lawyer. The biggest myth about getting a lawyer is "if you're innocent, why do you need a lawyer?" Because I'll tell you what, if you accidentally implicate yourself because you thought you'd never become a suspect because you're innocent, then law enforcement will waste valuable time trying to further tie you into the crime rather than using it looking for the actual guilty party. Or hell, even if you ARE guilty, you can make it so, so much worse for yourself. So keep silent & get a lawyer.
