I think it's a home run trade. It reminds of Atlanta trading for Julio Jones. The Rams have had Donald, Fowler, and last year even Suh, on their D-line, at the same time, and yet their pass rush was boring to watch. That's because unless Donald could win immediately off the snap and get penetration, opposing teams would just get the ball out within 2 seconds every time. There was no time for Suh to slowly push the o-line back into the QB. There was no time for Fowler to do pass rush moves. Everyone assumed it was a problem with the D-line. Everyone said, the Rams have two elite corners, Peters and Talib, therefore it must be the D-line, or the linebackers. Nope. Peters is a zone corner, and Talib was, and is, old. Old for man coverage, anyway. He still has the length and IQ to be decent in zone, with help. Today's game the difference was clear. The Rams pass rush finally looked alive for the first time since Wade Phillips took over and they switched schemes. Whatever they were doing different under Jeff Fisher, it seemed to work without elite corners, but Wade's scheme seems to rely on an elite press man corner. The team under him simply does not work without Ramsey. But now that they have him, wow, the defense looked special even missing Talib and Johnson and having Reedle still play, who is one of the worst linebackers I've seen in the league at least based on last week. So I think Ramsey is worth it. Trading two 1st round picks is a worth it only if you get back an elite gamechanger. I dont watch much AFC, so I wasn't sure if Ramsey was. But I looked at some film, and I watched the game today, and my verdict is that he is. Like Julio Jones is at WR, he is at his position, and his position is just as important, maybe more important. Amazing trade by the Rams. As for salary cap issues, Brockers hasn't been the same player in Fisher's scheme, so he should be traded and then easily replaced for a fraction of the cost. Talib is old as I said and could be replaced for a fraction of the cost. Whitworth is still above average, should be brought back a little cheaper if he wants to keep playing, whether at LT if he still can, or RT. If RT, then trade Havenstein and acquire a new LT. Let's see what else. Re-sign Littleton, re-sign Johnson, re-sign Ramsey of course, that's a must, re-sign Cooper Kupp. People are saying to trade Cooks, but trading Goff's deep threat would be a disaster unless they can draft someone to do what Cooks does, and I don't mean at 4.4 like Reynolds, I mean literally what Cooks does as he does it, 4.3 speed. There's a difference. So bring back Kupp, Johnson, Ramsey, Littleton, Whitworth, and acquire a stud LT. To make salary cap room, trade Brockers, trade Havenstein, let Talib walk, and if necessary to create more room which it probably is, Higbee and Fowler would be next up on the trading block. Not ideal but space has to be made somewhere. It's either keep Cooks, or keep those guys. I think lockdown corners are more important to the Rams pass rush than Fowler. He's good but not elite. Higbee is a great blocker for his position but otherwise he's average. Draft a blocking TE mid rounds maybe let him walk. Just thinking out loud.

Jags should wear Teal pants and Black jerseys more often. Or even all teal. I wished NFL teams would use more or different uniform combos. I know they have limitations but still
