Her solos are always amazing. I wish that their studio album's refected their live sound. I was already a fan before Days Are Gone came out and I literally went out and bought the CD in a record store and when I listened to it I was like WHERE ARE THE GUITARS? WHERE ARE THE SOLOS? Top notch rock band... Top notch pop album's. I saw HAIM live in 2014. Phenomenal show. I love everything they do.

Damn I love HAIM so much. Such a great, great band. Perfection. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Este’s boots. She has the best taste in shoes! Wish I had her style sense. Of course she backs it up with brilliant bass playing. Can’t wait for COVID19 to fuck off so we can go see HAIM live again playing WIMPIII! Bring on the 🇦🇺 stadium tour.

Are men not allowed to criticise because they are a girl band? There are some fantasitic female bands and musicians around now - way better and more successful than I’ll ever be, and good luck to them. Check out Larkin Poe, Molly Tuttle, The Regrettes, Samantha Fish, The Big Moon, The Orielles, Courtney Barnett for a starter... Sadly though I really struggle to look on Haim as much more than an average pub band that have somehow made it big. They are inoffensive but kind of meh. People like then - that’s fine but sorry I can’t see the appeal.

Really want these girls to be authentic and the real deal. Discovered them doing the Fleetwood Mac classic Oh Well and have since sort out their videos. My issue is their latest album has a cast of thousands. So many musicians and producers. How much of what's put on record is them ? Original Fleetwood Mac, four musicians, one producer.
@dominicdunn25794 жыл бұрын
Have you listened to their latest album. Danielle helped produce the whole album and it's mainly the girls plus Ronstaim, ariel. Such a timeless album and def sees a genuine progression for these ladies.
@ianhampton12084 жыл бұрын
I'm a bit old fashioned I've actually bought WIMPiii on CD. That's why in my comment above I mentioned the plethora of extra musicians and the army of producers and engineers. Are they really necessary ? I do like the album and it's a step up from their previous two, which I also own. More consistent and not so front loaded. I just worry that it's becoming too much the Danielle Haim show with the other two side lined. I'd have thought on an album of sixteen songs they could have let Este and Alana do one lead vocal each.

Their comment sections have always been like this. But they've definitely built their fanbase over the years of actual supportive people. I usually just avoid the content section unless its their channel. Like some people be making the weirdest comments. "I wonder if the bassist, makes those same faces in bed at home", and I'm like...what kind of comment is that🙃

Playing an unknown new song mid-set is always risky and this seemed to kill the atmosphere of their set. Haim are a great bad, and very talented, but a big festival is not the place to do too much new material, especially if your`e not headlining. The crowd want the hits and the stuff they know.
