I can’t wait to fly this flight in August and this is by far your best video yet, though my plane has been swapped to a 787-8. I imagine the service will be the same though. One big like!

Oh you are so lucky to get the 787 on this route! Dan wants to do it again when they swap it out for the 787. They are actually flying the 787-9 in July for a few weeks. Gotta take advantage of this before either DUB or EDI are being dropped. I think they are using this routing to test out the markets and only one will survive in the end....

I completely agree, I am unable to do the 787-9 flights or the one remaining A330 flight but I would get yourself on the -9 if you can, as far as I can tell the -8 in eco is the same as the 330-300. It's quite a significant downgrade actually as their 787-8s only have 213 seats and Business is 2-2-2 as opposed to 1-2-1 on the 330. I really hope the route does survive but I agree that the chances of that happening is small, especially with Dublin launching flights with Cathay in the last month too. If Edinburgh is lucky they could hang on but I was looking at fares last week and I paid £74 for my flight, if I had of booked last week it would've cost me £54, so they are clearly trying to appeal and with a £54 price tag they are almost matching EI. The sad thing is that this is a great route that clearly hasn't gone as planned and there are some great deals to Beijing from EDI so if you are free in the next few weeks you could fly to Beijing for a few days leaving on a -9 and returning on a -8. Anyway, enjoy your upcoming Austrian flight with the bento box!

I just checked Hainan's website and EDI-DUB is not bookable for next May when it was originally going to be bookable, other flights are bookable. This could be the end...

Thanks for watching! There are quite a few ones....Don't quote me on this but Iberia flies wide bodies to Heathrow. Latam flies to to Frankfurt from Madrid or something like that. I also flew Austrian 767 Vienna to Frankfurt - that video is coming up!

Lovely report! Red is our lucky colour and we can never get too much of it! I like that feature wall in the toilet. Makes it more interesting for that Royal Flush! They had new uniform recently. How does it look in real life? I am surprised at such low pax loads in economy....maybe the premium cabin was full of rich students going home? 😂😂😂😂

Hahahaha....put a whole new meaning to Royal Flush....hahaha...I wished I had thought of that! The new uniform looked amazing! But as you know...I don't film flight attendants....there were about 30 pax down the back....not sure though about loads from/ to PEK. But I am thinking that they will wither drop DUB or EDI once the summer is over....and using the current routing to test the market....which is pretty clever.

According to their website, check in closes 60 minutes before departure at EDI www.hainanairlines.com/HUPortal/dyn/portal/DisplayPage?COUNTRY_SITE=INT&SITE=CBHZCBHZ&LANGUAGE=GB&PAGE=ACIG. We got there early though to do some plane spotting. Also, at EDI, the mornings can be quite busy so I always get to the airport early.

Yeah, I was referring to economy salads in general, my Dad still thinks that when you eat those vegetables that are separate from the main meal, you will get stomach pain etc. Thanks for the prompt answer, always appreciate it!

I usually eat everything on the tray. Haha. However, your dad might have an intolerance to some veggies or salad dressing ingredients. For example, I can't eat onions so I stay away from onion. When you get older, everything seems to make you bloat hahaha.
