Hainan Island, southern Chinese surfing resort attracts global talents

In Wanning, surfing has become a lifestyle. Tourists, local residents and international travelers flock to work here, with the popular water sport a top priority.
Frac is a musician from the Philippines, and has been living by the beach for six months. The two things he says he must do every day, drinking from a fresh coconut, and surfing.
For Frac, the healthy lifestyle and getting closer to nature have also inspired his work as a DJ. And the response from audiences here makes him feel recognized.
Unlike other famous holiday resorts, international talents come to Riyue Bay to settle down, rather than just passing through.
Jay started his career at a bar, working in Shanghai, Chengdu and other big Chinese cities before working his way up to become a manager. He says the bay in Hainan has huge potential for growth.
It's clear this once fishing village on the east cost of Hainan Province has become a true global village, with people from all over the world finding a place to work, live, and call home.
