"Everything can be everything." Great way to put it and exactly how I think about it, and yet, it still seems that many people are not using this idea to fullest potential in terms of the full range of techniques of composition when it comes to the big 3--melody, harmony, rhythm.

+Nick Herman maybe because that is something that takes a long time to understand. Its easy to get it intuitively, but making it work is another matter. I for one took a long time to get anywhere near that Obi Wan level. ☺️

Really interesting to see a full breakdown of your modular setup! Thanks for this.

Cheers! There is a 9U in the other corner, just too difficult to film all three cases at the same time.

how was maths controlling the filter here? was the audio from 606 running though maths (envelope following) before it went to the filter?
@Hainbach6 жыл бұрын
Maths was set to two different LFO that influence each other. Their outs are in the CV ins of the DMF-2 filter. LFOs were both free running and triggered.
@Fauxleroid6 жыл бұрын
Ah right. so the Maths LFO frequency is always warping but they get retriggerd by a clock(?). (Only discovered your videos in the last day. Loving your content. Hugely Inspiring. Bought Codex off the back of the video. I love it. )@@Hainbach

I really enjoy this. i don't have a eurorack, but I am thinking about putting together my own system. I prefer the east coast synthesis, and I think that is why I have put it off because I really did not know if their was a good alternative to an expensive Buchla system.

Track was awesome!!! I'd been down for more breakdown/explanation/tutorial videos on anything. Most of the ones iv'e seen from you have been very interesting and informative!

Cool thx! Just shot a huge "How I make a remix" video. That will take some time to edit, though.

Such an awesome video once again! Really dig how it's approached as a full set of instruments, everything seems to have a function and a place within any patch and it isn't as much based on chance and mixing&matching on the fly. Really, really cool! One question though, do you use a coloring system with your patch cables?
@Hainbach7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, there is a lot of thought in the cases, which enables me to patch blindly, meaning without listening and already have an idea of what the sound will be.

Awesome vid. How are you connecting the TR606 to Cwejman? via some input module or directly? thanks
@Hainbach6 жыл бұрын
Goes in directly - hot enough

Thanks for sharing this, a mesmerising patch ! I have gone through this video several times yet I cannot find any explanation of the rhythm of the (syncopated) melody - is this rhythm all coming from Moskwa ? I assume there must be something else to produce those echoey/marble like repetitions ?

I'm relatively new to Modular (haven't purchased anything yet..still in the research stage going on for several months now) so this may sound like a stupid question...do you color code your cables to follow the different voicings (drums/bass/lead) or is it random??
@Hainbach7 жыл бұрын
+geoff ashley I don't color code, but the colors denote lengths of cables. So I know which to pick to reach what. Have fun on your modular journey!
