We need to get you some Starboard for your redecking. I'll likely be a-coming up to see you (by water) from Silver Springs Run, up the Okalawaha, across the northern part of Lake Griffin, up Hayne's Creek, to your place above the locks. You may not be there, but I'll be coming to see you anyway. HAW-HAW! I really appreciate all your videos, man. My favorite show.......... Meanwhile, be careful sticking your hand down in that rotten mess; a scorpion is likely to be stinging you.

@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
Oh yeah it will dry. In the second half of the video I stepped in it- Hahaha Stay Tuned !
@gregsdesigns3923Ай бұрын
Looks water may have been wicking in from the edges, with plywood it is difficult to seal edges well enough to prevent that from happening. Good luck in your repair.
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын

Wonder if that foam gets wet from rain and keeps wood wet? Does the foam and wood touch? My philosophy is, if there is a hole in the hull nothing is going to stop it from leaking but sealer
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
I've yet to see any wet foam as many times as I've patched it- Thanks !

Great place to boat, happily you had to move out of your former site, hi, hi.! Water might be allowed to seep in at a rivet as it flexes at speed under stress or it could be plain condensation Happy Halloween !
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
Hey. Yeah I was thinking about condensation- It's been bone dry over here and in the slip- no more blazing sun beating down! Thanks again !
@jasper60103Ай бұрын
Mann, I don’t think I could ever find that spot. LOL. Anyway, this could make for a good fish story. One pole and one bait. Let us know how it ends.

Open face foam absorbing the water and not releasing it Is it connected to any salt water rivers?

are the rivets through the hull maybe loose and leaky?
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
Yes- Maybe- Thanks for tuning in!
@bryanmorrion9503Ай бұрын
I wonder if it was just seeping through that plywood join. The water proofing may have had a small split in it and with use without the join being taped before top coating it failed
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. All seams, joints, edges were sealed with Locktite Marine and Flex Seal paste- both are great products!

Do you like the old place or the new place better? I woulda got lost 10 times. I’d bring extra gas for a while. 🤣 Maybe extra water in the boat was messing you up when you were trying all the different props. 🤷♂️ The canal is beautiful. Good video! 👍
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
The new place! It's Great! Thanks !

Rain water found a hole and it was all down him from there. I don't think it started from the inside unless the boat flooded from the bilge not working after a heavy rain or something.
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
Yes through all the rain/hurricanes we were having my bilge pump kept getting stuck, she filled up a few times. Thanks !

You might have a leaking rivets or water is coming in through the seams . If it was my boat i would pull it out of the water flip it over and roll on /brush on Goop coat it on the bottom of the boat . It’s not that $$$ and the boat will never leak again
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1Ай бұрын
That's what I was saying- but nothing is coming through? Thanks for tuning in!
@jasonmoore5685Ай бұрын
Now you're going to have to put the gas tank on the other side off balance the boat

That’s the plywood separating because water got in there you need marine plywood possibly but get that 1/2 “ honeycomb fiberglass stuff and that will solve your problem and be lighter jt HOOKED N ROLLING OFFSHORE 🇺🇸🇺🇸🐟🐠🎣🛥🌴🐢🦄
